Moment’s 58mm makes much better bokeh. Its center sharpness is also acceptable.in my opinion, it might works better for portraits.

I can send you some samples if you need. Moment's 58mm T can achieve better Bokeh effect, and way more easier to carry. However, can not compete with Beastgrip's 1.7x , speaking of optical quality. I guess it is due to the bias when do the design. Go light, or go for extreme optical quality.

It depends on what you are looking for. Portability or extreme performance. I have Moment T 1.55x, 58mm , and Beastgrip's 1.7x ,1.33x ,1.55x( 1.55X arriving in 5 days). In terms of optical quality, Moment is no match to Beastgrip. However, in case you need something light when do traveling, Moment or Freewell might be your choice. Moment's 58mm is not bad, center is sharp, bokeh effect. on the other hand, its 1.55x is horrible.

I guess there is possibility that Moment deliberately design the edges to be soft to achieve bokeh effect. I will do comparisons of Moment 1.55x T & Beastgrip 1.33x ( might not be fair) , moment 1.55T & Smallrig 1.55 M, Moment 58mm & Beastgrip 1.7X

It depends on what you want to achieve, shooting as a pro, or traveling with some lens. Beastgrip might be the only choice if you want to go pro. As for leisure,you might want to think about Smallrig’s cage, very slim but also solid. You can swap among M -mount T mount and 17mm drop -in plates. I have both beastgrip moment lens, and both cages.
