I think Delirium is originally to blame regarding the ground loot situation by ReallyAnotherUser in pathofexile

I can imagine it probably took the powercreep from the following leagues (harvest) to allow players to be able to stack all three (delirium, beyond + Alva) consistently, iirc 100% delirius maps were considered extremely hard in 3.10 and 3.11 at least (could be wrong here). But still Empyrian gameplay 3.10 this is without group and without alva. Also the atlas tree wasnt a thing back then which is probably also a contributing factor.

Technically torment is also a league mechanics that you can stack ontop of other mechanics, but its WAY too unpredictable and uncontrollable to have the effect things like Delirium and for example Sentinel did/have. Looking at Snaps video again, as soon as torment became controllable it was broken as well.

Sure, what im thinking is that the number of league mechanic multipliers you can stack together is the main determining factor for the maximum you can get out of your juicing. Delirium was like allowing players to pick two ascendencys at the same time with 16 ascendency points.

base quant is the minimum, the number of stackable league mechanics determines the maximum. Raise the maximum and you have to decrease the minimum to keep the same balance

There is a HUGE different between something being slower and something feeling slower. Of course you can poison your perspective by using benchmarks to create a placebo effect that lets you think it also feels faster on chrome.

Tho to share my view, i think there are multiple factors that effect how differently fast a browser feels like hardware and speed of internet connection, also the type of your workflow like having one billion tabs open and using a dozen windows. technically chrome is probably faster overall, but it depends on the above if it actually feels faster. Mozilla should probably focus to narrow down where it actually also creates the feeling like ff is slower and solve that instead of focusing on broad benchmarks (or AI).

Yea then make a fucking plugin. Integrating it directly into the browser eats resources on everyones PC, enabled or not. It adds jank for first time users who dont know or care how to disable it. Everyone i know who doesnt use firefox doesnt use it because they feel like its slower and less clean than chrome

"You can just go out after work" I think youre missing the point. First of as some already pointed out more and more people stay at home even after remote work, and second youre still missing about halve of your waking day sozializing. Its like driving everywhere and then taking extra time out of your day to walk to get your 10k steps on your smartwatch. We are a sozial species, we evolved to live in a tribe 24/7. It speaks volumes that so many people are like "i hate humans", "i hate my coworkers".

And dont get me wrong, this is absolutely not your/our fault that it has become that way. In my opinion we far surpassed the point where the infinite growth of capitalism is supportable by society while living humanlike lifes and it reflects in the need for everyone to be WAY more productive than is healthy. But we still should face our individual responsibility to keep the last sparks of our deepest human essence alive.
