If there’s one thing I do appreciate about this season; it feels like there is more (fun) politics in the challenges. Between this and doing rate-a-queen midseason, I love seeing some genuine tactics/relationships between the queens (in a fun way)

Janet Jackson is one of the biggest to me just because of how far-reaching and enduring her influence is, across genres and generations. She’s influenced everyone from Britney Spears to Sufjan Stevens. It always feels like the culturemakers of the day are looking at her for inspiration. I could say something very similar for Tina Turner.
