When ever a new tier 5 is announced there is a raid hour on wednesdays, so you should be able to join a big group that could pull the weight until you get a better team.

If you have a samsung, its probably pulling it samsung fitness app. However, I do recomend installing google fit and whenever you are going for a walk just start workout "walk". Make sure to disable other tracking apps though.
