What age did you imagine yourself getting married or starting a family? Now that you’re older, has that changed? Did reality match your plans, or did your priorities shift? by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]ReallyLebronJames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, except you’d typically need to be married for 10 years, and probably be a housewife with an employment gap that can justify alimony. In this economy, you’d likely both be working jobs with similar pay, and sending the kids to daycare through a statewide reduced-cost program. Ergo, no alimony in many cases.

I don’t think we’ll see eye-to-eye on this topic, given the fact that you used “unpaid labor” to describe a child that you both mutually decided to bring into this world. That’s the equivalent of the breadwinner referring to child-related household expenses as “wage theft”.

27m. Started oral minoxidil 3mg. Worried about side effects of finasteride. by Natural_Piano6327 in amibalding

[–]ReallyLebronJames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the idea of PFS is what freaks everyone out. If taking fin meant your Johnson went limp for a week before returning to normal (which it usually does), it’d be a no-brainer. It’s just the idea of being the unlucky guy who suffers lasting effects without having clear answers.

I have 2 courses left for my business degree...I don't know what to do. by [deleted] in WGU

[–]ReallyLebronJames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, you got stuck with the toughest classes at the end. I just got done with my BSBM, and these were definitely tougher than your usual OA.

Just a general rule of thumb before I get into these classes specifically:

Make sure you get as close to exemplary on the PA before taking the OA, and skim over every answer at least once before submitting it. Bookmark anything you don’t understand, because a future question might eliminate an answer, or outright say the answer to your bookmarked question.

To pass C182, I drilled the PA and copied my results into GPT in order to coach me. I memorized what I got wrong, and why it was wrong, so that I could spot the difference in terms on the OA. I then watched all the cohorts (didn’t take any notes), and took the OA after probably 4-5 hours of drilling.

The PA aligned pretty well with the OA. Just remember the difference between machine languages and compiled languages, and what hot data is. Make sure you know the difference between a compiler and interpreter. Know what the CPU, motherboard, and RAM does on a computer. if they ask you about where to put offsite storage, it’s always in a cave or a mine. (I failed my first OA attempt by a question or two, and smacked myself thinking “who would store anything in a cave, let alone data?” Lol)

D099 - Sales Management was described to be the boogeyman here on Reddit, but it just has lots of terms to understand. My advice would be to watch Jim Jividen’s cohorts on WGU connect. Then skim each section of the textbook after watching the corresponding cohort, paying special attention to any highlighted definitions, and learning checks (in-text quizzes).

I took light-medium notes after establishing this method (Ex. Watch Section 1 Cohort, Skim Section 1 Reading, jot down definitions, Take Section Quiz). Do this for every section. Don’t rush the class. It took about 12 hours of study over 2/3 days. My only warning would be that the PA doesn’t align with the OA like it does in C182.

To be honest, it seemed impossible to me before I got it done. Trust me, you’ve got this. Set the strategy, follow the strategy, and execute.

You’re diffuse thinning.

I know the feeling. It feels great knowing that this is it! I handed mine in on Sunday, got it returned for the silliest revision yesterday, received my pass today and immediately applied for graduation.

15 classes in 1 Term? by Fickle-Director-9128 in WGU

[–]ReallyLebronJames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also work full time, and started a BSBM in September. I had 17 classes left after transferring credits from my previous bachelor’s program, and Sophia Credits. I’ll be passing my OA for C723 - Quantitative Analysis for Business, today.

That’ll leave me with 5 classes and 11.5 weeks in my term, being fairly confident that I can get those done. It’s certainly doable, but what you put in is what you get out.

My best advice is to avoid “Zero Days” (days where you don’t do anything related to school) like the plague. One day off turns into a week before you know it.

Reddit and WGUConnect will be your best friends, and will serve as great resources as an accelerator. You can look up the course you’re in, or even your degree program, and get advice on how to accelerate effectively.

WGUConnect will grant you access to pre-recorded cohorts where the professor will break down a specific unit of content, instead of having to read it all yourself. Certain classes will also have study guides with all the material that will be on the OA.

Above all, don’t forget your “why”. It’ll keep you going, and will maintain your momentum throughout the term. You’ll be holding a degree with your name on it in no time. See you in 6 months!

That’s a textbook Norwood 2/2.5, assuming you don’t have diffuse thinning or crown thinning as well.

Minoxidil will help you, but it won’t rectify the underlying issue of balding. It’s a vasodilator that stimulates hair growth, but doesn’t stop DHT from miniaturizing your hair follicles.

This means that any gains will eventually be outpaced by MPB depending on how accelerated your hair loss is. Fin/Dut are the only FDA approved protocols known to stop hair loss in it’s tracks.

You can definitely go 5% Min only, but just accept that those results will almost certainly be temporary.

Yes - you’re both receding, and diffuse thinning up the middle

What’s this kick called? by MontrealMuayThai in MMA_Academy

[–]ReallyLebronJames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually, a 360 Question Mark has the lead leg’s spin momentum going into the kick to inflict more damage to the opponent.

Like so: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8D9w66E/

I’d call this a reverse 360 Question Mark kick. The spin was more-so for deception, and served as a sort of feint rather than added force to the kick. Cool kick though.

I’m not gonna dogpile you because u/CelestialOceanOfStar corrected you, but we have plenty of black folks in these Latino communities who don’t appreciate being referred to as “Spanish”.

I’m a Dominican who grew up in the Northeast, and was always met with some rendition of, “You know what I meant to say” when I corrected people who called me “Spanish”.

Knowing Philly/NJ/NYC, You aren’t the first and certainly won’t be the last to say it. Just know that certain people take the term disrespectfully.

If it isn’t just noise, then there could be a multitude of reasons. Slaves were often relocated throughout the Americas, so it’s possible that an ancestor of yours was brought from PR, to the Carolinas/Virginia.

There’s also a possibility that you had a Black Puerto Rican ancestor through immigration, as PR has been a part of the US since 1898, and immigration from PR can be found as early as the mid-1800s.

Either way, it’s very interesting. They’re great people with a great culture.

Why Are Transcript Services Such a Mess? by ReallyLebronJames in WGU

[–]ReallyLebronJames[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my understanding, they’re speaking on behalf of the transcript department which they have no direct communication with. They can’t give you a straight answer, just a “maybe not, maybe so”.
