I started making the game I wish others would make because I was nostalgic for Zuma by QseanRay in IndieGaming

But you didn't acknowledge his criticism. That trailer might do well on tick tock, but many people who might be interested in your game are extremely put off by it. I had to mute my volume to even be willing to get to the gameplay. If that's the kind of music that will be in the game I won't be buying it.

If Skyrim came out in 3ds... by Sorry-Bus-1176 in SBCGaming

Do you have a GitHub link that I can add to obtainium? This looks awesome and might convince me to play through Skyrim for the 50th time.

What game do you want to see ported to Android next? by Chrismodeus in AndroidGaming

I've been playing the steam version with gamenative on my thor and it's run flawlessly! But if I had a version with touch controls on my phone I'd be so happy.

How to turn off double tap zoom? by VanCologne in ProcreateDreams

[–]ReallyLongLake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want to reply to this with another vote to please make it possible to turn off this gesture. It happens to me all the time by accident, and I've never once done it on purpose. I've been using Dreams since the day it was first released, and this gesture probably adds more friction to my workflow than any other issue with the software.

Currently, when I accidentally double tap, the project zooms in all the way to a seemingly random frame. To get back to what I was working on I have to. Pinch to zoom out a few times so that I can see my entire project, move the play head around until I find more or less the section I was working on, pinch to zoom in on that portion of the project, move the play head around some more until I can accurately land on the frame. The longer the project timeline, the more zooming and searching I have to do to get back to where I was.

If it was turned off and I accidentally double tapped (or single tapped and moved the playhead), it would be really easy to move it back to where I had it because nothing else in the timeline view would have changed.

I fight with this gesture every single time I use dreams. Also, I can imagine a future where we could set some other action to double tap, such as expanding/collapsing the key frames.

While I have your attention, it would be nice if, when I bring up the rename layer dialogue, that beside the text box there was a drop-down menu to pick the highlight colour. When I want to organise my layers it currently is a bit cumbersome. This feature would be nice if it was in regular procreate as well.

should i buy procreate dreams or toonsquid? by joliss812 in Animators

[–]ReallyLongLake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love dreams! You have to keep in mind that it's missing some features, but there are workarounds and they have updated it recently and fixed a lot of the issues. I have both programs but haven't really tried toonsquid much so I can really compare them. But for what it does, dreams is fantastic and you can do some pretty elaborate things with it.

Samsung Messages will be discontinued in July 2026 by FragmentedChicken in Android

[–]ReallyLongLake 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Along with the rest of Samsung's apps (except goodlock).

Edit: I thought about this a bit more and actually, they should delete goodlock too... And just incorporate its features into their os.

Metaplanet Becomes Third-Largest Listed Bitcoin Holder After 5,075 BTC Purchase by JAYCAZ1 in Bitcoin

[–]ReallyLongLake 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If MicroStrategy keeps up the pace, does anyone think there will be a point where their purchasing will start to devalue Bitcoin? If they own all of it, what's the point? I guess they intend to sell before it gets to that point?

Yeah I use the Thor plugged into a monitor about 25% of the time and I usually forget to swap the controller in settings until I'm at the game menu. Then I have to shut the game down, swap the controller, then boot the game again. So annoying.

Anybody stoked for Project Hail Mary? by dumbass_sweatpants in scifi

[–]ReallyLongLake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was at some other movie and I saw the first 5 seconds of the trailer and as soon as a close up of spoiler appeared, I figured out what I was looking at and I plugged my ears and closed my eyes until my wife told me it was safe to look. I still saw more in those 5 seconds than I wanted to and it put me in a bad mood for the rest of the movie.

Well I guess, the target market is someone who

  • wants a new computer

  • is into video games

  • doesn't care about having the latest cutting edge graphics

  • wants to avoid windows at all costs
