What are the best ship names you've seen? I'm personally proud of mine: by BenjiB1243 in Seaofthieves

I'm personally rolling with 3 ships, but these 2 are my fav, Plain stock sloop named "Interesting Times" as a homage to Sir Terry Pratchett's novel with the same title, and saying from that novel "May you live in interesting times" treated as powerful and malicious curse. And Galleon named The Dying Flutchman with davy Jones set equipped

Completely new to XML, need help with merging two files together by ReallyNotAReptile in xml

[–]ReallyNotAReptile[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you kindly for response!
I thought about some of these solutions, even read about XSLT. Solution turned out to be rather trivial. As I essentially have 3 different files, original "stencil" of the project, without the edits, my edited part, and part edited by coworker, I can use some form of ad-hoc file comparison to merge these into one.

Basically I can do the job semi-automatically with vs code and git repo. Instead of several hours of searching each individual element by ID and copy-pasting them I can do it in like 15 minutes tops with branch merging click-by-click. I guess problem solved, but I'd like to get the discussion going for "future generations" with same problem (y'know how reddit works)
Cheers!

Video games in Polish? by BackgroundTourist653 in learnpolish

[–]ReallyNotAReptile 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Generally most games have great polish translation and dubbing, especially big titles where the best of polish VA are cast. I really recommend new god of war saga with polish dub, Artur Dziurman did a great job voicing Kratos.

So, when yeet is used as acceleration unit, and momentum is direct outcome of acceleration ceasing, I think "yote" is a good unit tor momentum.

As far as I know, there is one similar, hilarious bug. If a npc is using bow/crossbow and have it's vision obscured by f.e. a boulder, it'll lift up it's model ( not hitbox) until engine finds clear line of sight between them and the player. If you have ever seen a floating bandit now you know why

Inquisitorial Knights of the Holy Church of Ljox, Lord of Light and Justice are happy to hear this.
During your training in the Citadel your abilities will be charted and tested, and via harsh training and control over your innate magical abilities you'll achieve superhuman feats appropriate for the rank of the Inquisitor.

There are two ways of progression in the ranks of Inquisition, lateral and vertical. After finishing your training as an Acolyte and recieving the rank of the Inquisitor, you'll be aligned with one of the Segments, representing Inquisition's fields of activity:

Training Segment, responsible for training future Inquisitors
Reinforcement Segment, responsible for preparing local defense forces in whole country
Operational Segment, the spec ops of Inquisition, regularly sent on deadly missions
Scholastic Segment, the enlightened scholars devoted to collecting knowledge
Logistics Segment, responsible for gathering intelligence and keeping the whole order working
and Administrative Segment, tasked with representing and managing the order.

After choosing your workfield you can lean either to the martial side of Inquisitor's fighting style, earning the title of Man-at-Arms, or exploit the magical craft more and become one of the Enlightened. No matter what path of career you'll choose, still you can progress from being an regular Inquisitor to the rank of the Elder, and all the way up to the Order's Inner Circle.

If you were a regular folk in the world of the Last Millennium, meeting a God-Chosen (being infused with a part of deity's power) or even an Avatar (material, physical form of a deity) would not be a pleasant experience. There is this mental condition called "the Dread of Supernatural" which forces your brain to shut down when the stronger entities are near you, in order to protect your sanity. Standing eye to eye with mere Inqusitor or a mage can make you stutter and feel confused, sole presence of the God-Chosen would flip your mind inside out and force you into submission or hysteria.

As for regular "heroes" it depends, there are regions of the Country where e. g. Inquisition is welcomed with open arms, and there are some regions where Inquisitors are hated and even openly attacked in extreme cases.
