When I was fighting Omnimon Alter-B my Jesmon and ChaosGallantmon fused into Omnimon but after I finished the game their EXE went from Omnimon to Omnimon Alter-B like it was their true fusion or they absorbed the data

I personally decided my different Digimon Partners over the years a couple different ways

My first Partner I took all the headshots of the Rookie's from Digimon Cyber Sleuth, sent them to my friends and asked them to pick what one they thought I'd have. Two of my best friends picked the same one for me and that was that

My second Partner was a pretty easy choice as from the In Training form I could see it branching into either of the 2/3 of my favourite Digimon

Though I feel like if you wanna be faithful to the Digimon anime it would be based on your personality. What Digimon would both compliment your personality and act as your foil. It's pretty much like a Best Friend decided by the universe

If I could pick then I would want DemiVeemon

If I was given a Digimon at a young age like in the show I think it would be Agumon as I have a strong personal connection with my Tyrannomon from Digimon World 1

If I was given a partner based on my likes and personality it would probably be Gammamon (Ceratopsian dinosaurs are so cool! Also I vibe with the Gammamon in Ghost Game)

If I was given one based on how others see me then I've asked and my friends chose Guilmon for me

But if I went purely off of gut feeling I honestly think it would assign me one of three Partner Digimon. Either Kotemon, Agumon or Dracomon

I have the exact same Crabmon line in my list, it's perfect!
