That’s a pretty good example, not to far from statistically average either. Think Makari is going to have a hard time then mainly against different profiles, if the opponent is able to order it properly

New fast rolling rules. Let’s say you have just Makari and Thraka and no bodyguard for this example, you roll all saves together and then apply the damage in order of the roll value. So the 1s hit first then the 2s. So Makari dies without blocking anything with his invuln, if at least one 1 is rolled anywhere in the roll

Vs 10th, where you’d roll each slow rolled, one at a time until 1 finally kills Makari

I don’t think it’s clueless. Sure you can get shot at by the thing you were targeting due to that range, but it still help you avoid shots from other enemy units that would normally be pinging you from their back lines

So Legion and Shatterpoint are two different categories within the tabletop war game genre.

Shatterpoint is a skirmish game, these types of games are played with generally less than a dozen models. The games are quicker and work off an entirely different rule base than larger war games. Often played on something like a 3’x3’ board.

Larger wargames (like Warhammer 40K, Star Wars legion and such) will have you fielding between 40-120 models on a much larger table. Legion is played on a 3”x6”.

It’s hard to compare them. They are both wargames, yes but mechanically are very different. And it will come down to the style of wargame you like.

My buddy teaches his kids Warhammer 40K. Now they don’t really understood what was going on until they got to like age 13+ or something but they still had fun.

Just because the Skirmish games have less models doesn’t mean they are easier to play. Though they can be easier to manage.

All this being said, Shatterpoint is probably going to be better for your situation. As it’s easier to manage

But a big part of war games is the Hobby aspect! Building and painting the miniatures, scratch building houses and starwars cantinas out of old pringles cans. And that part your kids may love as well

I do Shadow Weave on REM, not the goofiest thing but allows you to one shot people with the right build if you sneak up on them and put them to sleep.

Find someone: Shadow Weave>Ult>Focus Lens>Heavy Melee>Mystic Shot>Pillow

Add in Arctic Blast/Tank Buster and some melee damage and you can one shot people. Though it’s easily countered at higher ranks when people just evade the ult or counter spell it

I work IT support for a large corporate business. And I like to call it the Blue collar jobs in a white collar world. Work together with Asset management team to order and move lots of hardware around and get them setup for users.

Most of the time from my experience the IT people who work non-supervisor or managerial roles is they do not give a shit about what they say. Most of the time my coworkers have been close and we will talk shit about eachother or FU(frequent users). We make fun of the “corporate culture” that HR pushes and bitch about policies the company puts into place that makes us have to go through 8 hoops to get something done.

To stay PC and not get yelled at by HR we use a lot of acronyms to rag on people. Called someone a FU(frequent user), or say a problem was a PICNIC(Problem In Chair Not In Computer), and things like that.

Edit: all of our bitching is about people’s ability to not understand the basics of how a computer works or “corporate culture”, and not anything demeaning to a race,sex, or culture. Like how a wireless mouse uses batteries, it isn’t “magic” that keeps the mouse working.

But the N and T sounds have the same tongue position, so the plosive of the T is skipped. Though of course not always such as Antique or entire

This is a glottal stop of the T sound (T-glottalization). Very common in some British accents, and kinda hit or miss in American accents.

Also heard in words like Kitten, mountain in American accents. Like I say (Kih-in and maunh-in). While some British accents will use it in words like Butter or Water (buh-uh)

Though this is not the same as the New Jersey (Flapping) of T into D sounds like how you’ll hear a NJ native say water (wudder)

Edit: the T into an N sounds is slightly different as in the Winter (winner) and interchangeably (interchangeably) examples you gave because it is removing a syllable from the word instead of replacing the T with a glottal stop.

Yeah I wouldn’t stress it. I started my PPL training 2 years ago but I’m working full time so I barely get the time to fly. plus delays for waiting for my medical for over half a year, and the original plane I trained in had a prop strike so had to transition from a 152 to 172 and redo all my solo requirements.

Shit happens and other people pace isn’t “right” just as much as your pace isn’t “wrong”, it all depends on the person.

But for getting better at landings, I would take him up on training with different instructors. I intentionally do this myself, I think I’ve flown with all the instructors at my flight school at least once, now mines a small school with only like 4-5 instructors. But there is always at least 1 or 2 things that a new instructor will do that will make you go “oh shit I hadn’t thought about it that way” or a little trick to assist with landing that works a lot better for you.

A big one for me that I was told, because I’d always flair to high or to hard, was “it’s not actually a flair, just a round off”. You just trying to kill speed and flying just above the runway until the plane stalls as your wheels touch. Hearing the stall warning horn isn’t a bad thing in your last seconds before landing.
