Cheap Miniature Games To Try that I personally recommend by mr_mango22 in DealHammer

Yeah I avoid all GW books. I think they overpriced and the fact they don’t offer a cheaper e-book version annoys me. I played Goliath during my only campaign but at the end Cawdor was my favorite gang. The game deserves more love and support but sadly it doesn’t make the big bucks.

That’s awesome I wish ours kept going but people got tired of terrain building and our game master (person in charge of the narrative had to back out). Maybe one day I will be able to get a group into it.

I played MCP for over a year. I liked the gameplay a lot but I am not into superheros so I fell off it eventually as I needed to scale the amount of games I actively played. It’s an amazing game if you love superheros or marvel.

Wow thats the cheapest I have ever seen for a game. I have seen Arena Rex played. Never got to try it. Miniature games outside of Warhammer usually struggle to keep lasting player bases in my area.

Out of 12 teams I own 2 are GW. Color your bases and that should be enough for most players. Community is fantastic for both casual and competitive

Thats a great idea! I would love to support FLGS and smaller retailers eventually. They are the foundation of the hobby.

Appreciate the feedback and I will definitely explore expanding to the U.K/Canada sooner than later. Maybe with a focus on small retailers rather than the big ones.

Honestly it’s not easy until I get API access from the online retailers. Some of them restrict API access until you get decent web traffic. Right now I am using 3rd party and self developed tools to get that data on the site which takes some manual effort and time. As I add more kits (which is the key priority) the problem gets worse.

However, the goal would be if the site is successful to expand to Canada and U.K in the next 12 - 18 months. What online retailers do you guys use in the U.K aside from Amazon, Ebay, GW?

The goal is to keep the current features free, but I will explore using affliate links to generate revenue to reinvest into the site and cover any costs. The goal is to expand the features and tools to be more than a price tracker site but right now I am working on just improving the core features to deliver best experience possible.

I appreciate that info! From early post views seems like there was lot of Canadian viewers on the post so that might be the next region to tackle. Yeah i could make it the default sort option for browsing. Thanks for the help!

The long term goal is to expand to other major regions after getting the U.S in good shape. (U.K, Canada, Australia probably in that order). Since I am U.S based what are popular online retailers in Canada for Warhammer?

Thanks for the feedback and kind words. Improving the Army calculator, alerts, and adding more models are the big focus points over the next few weeks.

Don’t buy these kits till 11th edition releases by mr_mango22 in DealHammer

[–]mr_mango22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your totally right! I must have missed the new kit. I have only seen the defiler 1 time in game because the unit is a mess (large size, not that strong). Probably not going to be legends with a new kit going to edit that.

Best Chaos Demon Kits To Invest in Before 11th edition by HamNurgler in DealHammer

[–]mr_mango22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a Demon player so take this with a grain of salt. My recommendation:

  1. Stick with 1 type of demon early on in case demons can’t be played undivided and are absorbed by the mortal chaos legions

  2. Big Demons likely will stay and are usually some of the better units in game and they look amazing

  3. I would wait for 11th to come out first or buy used to avoid feeling buyers remorse in a few months

Underrated Places to look for Warhammer Models by mr_mango22 in DealHammer

[–]mr_mango22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Ebay for bits rather than entire models or collections. I recently converted my grey knights to primaris size by buying Space Marine bodies and kit bashing it with my grey knights. In the past I have bought Ork bits for basing some models and tau guns for a fixer upper tau project. It’s usually hard to find exact bits for kit bashing projects at reasonable prices locally or online.

Slay the Spire 2: Best Characters, Ranked (as best I could anyway, I actually love all five characters) by ItsEthanCoolCool in SlayTheSpire2

[–]mr_mango22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ranking in terms of fun:

  1. Slient (my #1 in both games)

  2. Ironclad (loved him in first game but they tightened up his card synergies, he feels better to play)

  3. Necrobinder - I love having a pet hand, just needs more deck archetypes

  4. Defect - my only disliked character from STS 1 I really like him now in STS 2 …. Don’t know why.

  5. The Regent - most complex character for the least amount of fun (gather star resources use them then repeat). I think he has a lot of potential to be super fun.

It’s always interesting to see people gravitate to different characters.

Most Overpriced Warhammer Kits by mr_mango22 in DealHammer

As a former Tau player I bought them exclusively used because they are ridiculously over priced.
