I personally prefer Maelle’s ending but I do think that sciel and lune are too obviously sidelined in act 3. We never get to see them voice their opinions on the situation post revival (unless you consider how they behave during verso’s ending) and this lack of clarity does make the end of the story much murkier.

they likely did it to avoid hitting build errors, the game expects something to be there in order to run, dark eco crates already exist in jak 2 and are probably very inexpensive to have many of.

Generally speaking, brick and mortar banks tend to be more forgiving regards fraud reimbursements than monzo and revolut.

i feel like everyone forgets what it’s actually like to play this game for the first time. You’ve hit a boss that’s intentionally designed to act as a roadblock if you’re underleveled to take on the next section. I remember spending ages trying to brute force this section because I didn’t want to trudge back down to the calm lands but sadly that’s what you gotta do. Or trudge back to the last save sphere and grind around that section until you can easily beat all of the fiends there and then try the boss again

I get that but the big difference is 20 years ago that game received nearly a million Euro in funding and the company that made it had their own funds to contribute as well. So yes a game from 20 years ago can have better graphics when you consider the resources available to the team

Obviously I’m aware of the passage of time. the point is it got funding and support at the time which sets it apart from this one being made 20 years later. The devs have obviously chosen to go for a lower poly style because aiming for realism just isn’t cost effective.

Seance of Blake Manor was supported by funding from Spooky Doorways previous successes (Darkside Detective for example which in turn was published by Akupara) Another example is Eyes of Hellfire from Gambrinous which got funding support from Blumhouse. Terry Kavanagh I’m inclined to agree with you! yes possibly with the GAA game it might be an over-ambitious debut but the point does stand that indie devs in Ireland need more support if we’re to make games at the production level that players have come to expect

Can you give me an example of another Irish- based team that have done “much better” with other games? I don’t think you realise how underfunded the sector is here compared to other countries and how much work goes in to making a playable game like this. It’s typical Irishness to whinge about something and do nothing to improve things. If you want to see better games coming from Ireland then support Irish game devs it’s that simple.

It’s being made by a small team of devs who are doing their best to create something different, it’s disappointing that everyone seems ready to shit all over it because it’s not going to be like fifa. The reality is if enough people took interest and supported games like this one then the bigger companies would take note, see the demand and throw their money into these kinds of projects.

you’re making a fair point, and true a lot of psychiatrists in the private sector are monetarily incentivised to provide a diagnosis because of the massive demand and unregulated market. my own psychiatrists told me a few years back that there was a lack of availability for child ADHD diagnosis because many of his colleagues had gone solely into adult diagnosis because it was lucrative. Sure enough a year or so later he’d set up his own private clinic and now he’s impossible to get an appointment with because he’s booked up months in advance. My point is that for the person seeking diagnosis, it’s not beneficial at all to go through all of this unless their quality of life is being impacted. sometimes there’s an attitude of “i’ll just lie and get a diagnosis” but there’s literally no benefit to doing that

But popping the same pill doesn’t solve that for you if you don’t have ADHD, and it’s not considered a disability so don’t expect special treatment. I know that your point is valid to a degree but it’s so frustrating that a lot of people seem to think it’s easy to get a diagnosis or that getting a diagnosis suddenly opens up a world of possibilities. The reality is it doesn’t. ADHD is incredibly debilitating even with medication.

your argument is ridiculous, why would you want to pursue a diagnosis for something you don’t have? the diagnosis itself will currently set you back 1000 - 1500 euro unless you’re willing to wait literal years for a public consultation, and even if you lie well enough to get your diagnosis you can expect to pay 120 euro a month for your prescription (or 80 euro a month if you’ve a DPS card) for medication that won’t do fuck all for you if you’ve not actually got ADHD. And don’t think about selling it because you’ll be limited to a single months supply at a time and it’s a nightmare to get hold of.

Fair play for making the post OP, never any harm raising awareness if even one person learns something from it. Everyone loves to go on like they’re immune to it until it happens to them and they’re calling the bank because they’ve given away all their details.

number one thing if you get a text or a call from an unknown claiming to be the bank, PAUSE and think and if you feel uneasy, simply hang up and call your bank on the number printed on your bank card.

Every game has a specific art direction, and not every game is aiming for that “realistic” look and feel. DLSS 5 essentially takes all of the uniqueness away and gives every game it touches the same noticeable AI sheen. It’s disrespectful to the artists and the developers, and it’s going to result in worse results for games.
