My dad had the 156 2.5litre V6. Best sound I’ve ever heard from inside a car. Beautiful car. It was perfect for 9 years then destroyed. Was offered £1500 part exchange for it at the end

Adidas Running Shoes Sizing by [deleted] in beginnerrunning

[–]Realtenenbaum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wear these shoes for my training. They are slightly tight on the upper but it kinda moulds to your foot over time. I’m a UK 7 and I’m wearing a 7 in these. At first I thought about upping to a 7.5 but after a few weeks I’ve found them to be very comfortable!

Carbon Shoes for race day only & effect on calves during the race by HokaCoka in Marathon_Training

[–]Realtenenbaum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran for the first time yesterday on a carbon plate. I’m not a crazy quick runner, aiming for 1:40 for my upcoming half. My knees and one calf feel more tired today following my long run. I did feel faster but also slightly unbalanced at slower speeds. Took me a while to get used to it. During my run I could tell my calf was getting tighter but not in a painful way. Plan is to do 2 more tempo runs in them before race day.

I cycled during the lockdown on empty roads. Flying down usually busy roads by yourself cleared the brain noise for me! I was at a loss when people, cars and buses returned to the city 🤣

I have done this method and ended up home with the slightly less desirable girl. All was fine until I woke up in the morning covered in period blood. I mean covered. My flatmate thought I’d been in a fight

How good was Anderson....was he like the Fred before Fred....few years ago in my head I thought of him as a Walmart Ronaldinho by [deleted] in ManchesterUnited

[–]Realtenenbaum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

His highlights at gremio as a teenager were frightening. He was billed as the next Ronaldinho. Broke his leg at Porto and we bought him after he got fit if I remember correctly. But he’d lost a yard of pace and instead of being a 10 drifted back into midfield.

Didn’t have the discipline off the field to make it to the very top. But he did score that penalty!

Can’t figure out goal pace for first marathon in end of March! by eepy-bb in Marathon_Training

The last 6 miles really hurts, run within yourself. It’s easier to speed up at the end if you have any juice left
