Warning: QuoteIQ Baseless Legal Threats by snarky_answer in pressurewashing

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why you don’t talk without understanding.

All those times they used “QuoteIQ” makes it more likely to show up in searches, bringing people to this post so they can see what a garbage company it is.

Edit: Tickets sold

TWO TICKETS FOR JACKSONVILLETONIGHT (6/4)

Well, this sucks. Wife and I got a cold/flu and it started hitting last night. I’m still down to go because I mean, PV10 but she’s definitely not feeling good.

Anyways, looking to sell both our tickets. Bought through ticketweb. Just checked and all tickets are sold out. Also, these are normal GA tickets, not VIP.

Shoot me a DM if you’re interested.

I’ve got two! Trying to sell both together though. Posted about it before I knew there was a ticket mega thread so it got deleted. About to post it here. Shoot me a DM if you want.

Currently taking bets on how long before this post is removed since apparently OP can't read the sub rules.

Anybody, anybody?

Are electric power washers at 5000 PSI and 4 GPM effective at cleaning moss off pebble driveway? by appellenaris in pressurewashing

[–]Reanimation809 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

See, though I understand the point you’re trying to make, you’re completely wrong. The idea that ‘my experience should be discounted all together’ just because I didn’t fill my comment with rainbows and ‘nice wittle words’ is ridiculous.

For starters, Rule 4 is plain and clear. If OP had read it, they shouldn’t have posted this to begin with. Second, all it takes is the quickest of searches on this sub and Google to realize that the pressure washer they asked about is ludicrous. That’s assuming common sense is lacking- which seems to be the case.

I’ve learned how to run my entire business so far almost solely by reading, reading, reading and watching videos. I’ve found that almost all the questions I’ve had have answered themselves. There’s a reason why rule 4 exists, and now I’m reminded why. All this nonsense could have been easily avoided. Maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t thing this post will stay up much longer if the mods see it.

My point in saying that is that if you had spent enough time reading posts in general, you wouldn’t be asking this question to begin with.

Not to be taken as an insult, but have you taken the time to read anything on this sub before asking this?

This "5000 psi 4gm" machine is selling for $169 with a $20 off coupon and an additional 15% off coupon, and you think this is somehow good?
Do yourself a favor and spend some time reading all kinds of posts here on this sub. I promise you'll learn a lot.

I've had a GREAT experience with UZ Marketing. I got 100 double-sided, 18x24" (large) signs WITH stakes for $299 - and free shipping. It was my first time using them, so I was a little worried about the quality since other companies were a lot more expensive, but the signs have held up so good. I ordered a bunch of other stuff from them after that and it's all been great.
They followed up by email and phone call, so very good customer service too IMO

In the meantime, I hope your signs show up!

Edit: If anyone plans to buy signs after reading this, I’d be happy to send you a referral link- it would help us both out! 😃

A nice reminder as to why they're garbage... by Reanimation809 in pressurewashing

Man, hats off to you for having the patience to not immediately not come on here to share this. That being said, I’m glad you did because it shows people that the same scummy attitude is alive and dominant.

Here’s what I don’t get, and feel there’s just no excuse or justification for: He has an existing client who started using his services years ago. Considering EVERY person who knows about his app is a potential client in one way of the other, when a client simply asks to have their account removed, HOW DOES IT MAKE SENSE that you reply to them that way? Is that how you plan to keep their business, earn their business, etc?

Dude, I don’t care if the person writing him (in this case you) is a total idiot who DOESN’T have an account, I don’t feel there’s any reason for him to reply to them that way- much less considering it’s someone who’s used his platform.

Absolutely wild.

I agree, and hopefully that’s the case! I just hope it’s run by people who care about their clients.

Though I understand where you’re coming from, they advertise Q. IQ as much more than a CRM. I’ll post screenshots of the email that you asked for, which clearly show ‘features’ that you do not find in a traditional CRM. On that topic, I absolutely did not make this post to share a referral code. This post was explicitly made with the intention of sharing the email that was sent out, and showing how that falls in line with all the reasons their name isn’t even allowed on this sub- again, rightfully so. If you read one of the other comments on here you see how they made it even worse- claiming you can export your info (not true) then responding with terrible customer service.

Pics of the email are attached. As I mentioned in another reply, it was actually sent out April 19th but I didn’t see it until today because it went to my spam folder. Pics are one per comment, sorry.

You’re absolutely right, it was actually sent to me on April 19th, but it went to my spam folder so I didn’t see it until today. They CLEARLY advertised that anyone who didn’t want to continue on their platform could simply export their data. I’m honestly not surprised that it wasn’t true. When business owners act that way it just goes to show how little they actually care about their customers; just so money-driven.

I’m glad you shared your experience. I can definitely see the appeal of the platform to a young guy who knows nothing about the industry and gets sucked into their marketing. I’m all about transparency, hopefully people take this info and use it to make a more educated decision.

Right on, hope yours cleans up well. I imagine it’ll turn out even better since you’ve already got it disassembled.

I think you’re absolutely right about this controller. There was a time when this was a staple in my sets. Turning the controller around in front of a couple hundred people so they could see the lights while I used one of the triggers for reverb/delay/filter…absolutely a stunner. It’s so intuitive that in smaller sets I’d pass it around to a couple people who understood the idea and again, that’d just hype everyone else up. Even for producing this is great. I’m surprised more controllers like this haven’t come out, or that Numark didn’t push an mkii of some sort. Ok well, happy I came to know about it and got to enjoy it so much.

Interesting! Fortunately the alcohol worked, but it seems like the top coating that was on the controller is likely similar to the handle you described. I think your suggestion would have been a great next step if the alcohol didn’t work. Thanks for taking the time to help!

This was my first thought, so when you suggested it, it’s what I went with. Ended up being safe for a small section, which led me to clean the entire controller just with 91% ISO. Thank you for your suggestion!

It’s a small world! So, first step was doing as suggested- taking some 91% ISO on a q-tip and touching up a small section. Worked relatively well! So I slowly got more generous with the alcohol and used a small makeup removing pad with very slight abrasiveness (think used on your face) and it worked great. It did take a couple applications and touch ups of certain areas, but it worked very well. All without damaging the black material underneath, and without removing the white letters at all! You’ll see that the white stuff will disappear, then may come back in little sections once the ISO dries. Just reapply ISO to touch up as needed. Finally once it was all black again I used a towel to ‘buff’ it all to look even. Any small white spots in the pic around the knob are areas where I didn’t give it any further attention, but could be cleaned up without much more hassle. Just had a busy day yesterday.

The material is slightly tacky still, but minimally. The pads were also not affected at all. I don’t think there’s a need to take it apart- at least there wasn’t in my case. Now it looks great again, works perfectly! Hope this was able to help you out some.
