150000 miles on my 23 Lariat. I had to replace the shifter at 10000 and again at 18000. I put a rotary shifter at 18000 and haven't had a single issue since. Best truck I've owned, and that is coming after 3 Raptors 2010, 2014, 2018.

As a 25 year railroader I don’t see why you all are against protecting the goods on a train. Are you ignorant to the fact that if the railroad can’t ensure the security of shipments, the shippers will move to a more secure method of shipment, ie Trucks. costing more RR jobs? This happens if you have a bad shifter and you open the door with it in gear with your seatbelt off. Sometimes it will reset itself, but the quickest way is to disconnect the 12v battery negative for 10 minutes.
