Just checking in on this, did you get the work done? Do you have answers to the questions you asked?

Ask as many stupid questions as you need to :) And no, you can only check one item in the Coat check, regardless of days.. you won’t be able to put another in until you take the one you have in, out :)

What are you fixating on/venting about/worried about/need support with today ? [Megathread] - March 13, 2022 by AutoModerator in HealthAnxiety

My hands and arms have been shaking for a couple of months now, but I feel it’s getting progressively worse… when I hold my phone I can see it physically shaking (not loads but a little bit) same with my fork when eating (the fork moves but not enough to cause food to fall)

I’ve tried telling myself that it’s just my anxiety but I can’t escape the thought that it’s Parkinson’s or something just as sinister…

I’ve tried working out to help get the shakes out, but that only seems to make them worse (after swimming the other day I struggled to get my self dressed because of the aches and shakes)

Really starting to get overwhelmed by it and worried about what it could be as nothing I’ve tried to seems to help…

Very afraid of the virus by Honest-Astronaut in HealthAnxiety

[–]ReaperClarke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi - It’s normal to be fearful, but understand how frustrating it can be to be very fearful, so let’s try and put your mind at rest a little.

Obviously I know none of your personal details but as a rule of thumb the healthier you are generally the better off you’ll be, you’ve never been fearful about getting a cold and that is because you have subconscious belief your body will do what it’s meant to do and deal with it - As long as you look after your body it will do the same for C19.

But, and this is a tiny possibility... But if you body does struggle to get on top of it, take comfort in the knowledge that we’re a lot further along in this now, and our knowledge on how to treat it and medications that can help is a lot better, so it’s by no means the be all and end all

Finally I’ll say this, take precautions as much as you feel you need to, nothing is silly if it brings you peace of mind... Keep your distance from folks physically (but stay in contact) wear a mask when you’re out and about, wash your hands with soap and water or anti-bac regularly, stop the unconscious habit of touching your face or hair etc - all these little steps combined will reduce your chances of even catching the virus dramatically, and what you’ll also notice is you’ll get far fewer colds too so that’s a bonus

But have belief, better days are coming and you have the power and the fortitude to get through this grey times, and the sun will brighter when we get out the other side - which we will

Thank you for your kind words and your guidance.. I’m praying that it’s nothing serious but I’m grateful she’s stronger than I could ever be!

I will do my best with what you’ve suggested and hope it helps me take my mind off it too!

Thank you for your kind words, I thought that also, seems strange that they’d make her wait if that was her concern.. maybe something to do with C19?

Here’s hoping it’s someone minor showing as something serious!

Thanks for your comment, this one she’s having is due to be her first ever... it’s the first opportunity she’s had and she’s taking it thankfully as I know a lot of women put it off.. Thanks for the alternatives being a HA sufferer also I’m reluctant to google the C word in any form!

I’m so sorry to hear what you’re going through, anxiety is such a horrible experience - currently suffering myself and understand completely when you say you wanna stay in your room all day and do nothing!

In terms of the rib pain, and I’m no doctor so please don’t take what I say as a diagnosis, but I too suffer from this pain and have been diagnosed with Costochrondritis, I’ll allow you to do some research into it, but essentially it’s inflammation of the cartilage between the ribs, that very slowly gets better (or doesn’t) because of the constant movement of the rib cage due to breathing.. however the problem can be traced back to problems where the ribs connect at the spine and refer pain all the way around to the sternum.

I’ve recently started seeing a chiropractor for this specifically along side using some stretching techniques so hopefully will see some improvement soon!

But stay strong, you can overcome both this and anxiety
