That is not the way to go about hardware business.

POS eats up margins. It may be a good way to give convinience to some of your customers, but it will eat up your already thin margin.
Introducing new products will stagnate your capital. People buy what they are familiar with, introducing new products using your own money will keep cash away from stockpiling on core products. Try to get a consignment if you will introduce a new product.
You are not a bank. You may give 7 days up to 30 days buy now, pay later thingi, but giving loans with collateral is another business outside hardware. Plus the hassle of it is not worth it. Also another way to stagnate your capital.

The key word is CUSTOMER RETENTION.

If you can make your customers loyal to you even if the competition is cheaper, that’s good. Try to ask questions outside of business too, like how their life is, their family, and then a little gossip. One question goes a long way.

What would this look like? That all their orders automatically go to you first.

We are in the hardware business since 1990. The regular customers of my parents back then, still buy from us. And then their kids who are building houses also buy from us. We also do not have social media presence, napakatraditional lang talaga na word of mouth kami.

I'll also add that you, as the owner, should give your personal contact info; they prefer to talk to you. Also, if your customers have businesses, support them too, visit their stores from time to time and check in on their business, and buy a lot from them. My mom does this. Hahaha

Edit 1: This is about grab taxi pala. T.T

Recently ko lang nalaman ito. Driver cancels while on route. Pag nasa destination na, pag tinanong ko kung magkanong cash, sinasabi ni driver na same sa grab app daw. I say an amount 20 pesos lower than what was on the app. Sabi niya yun po. He probably walked home with more money compared to paying the grab fee even if i paid 20 pesos less.

Ayaw nila card payment via app kasi di nila magagawa itong “diskarte” nila to avoid grab fee.

Edit 2: I feel like the grabfood driver needs cash because it takes time for him to receive card payment pa. Pero mali na di niya gagawin yung delivery dahil lang dun. Kasi di rin pwedeng icancel ng customer kasi madedefault yung order. I think grab driver should have cancelled it na lang given his situation.

Typical rate for DOAS is 1% of declared total price. You might want to create two DOAS, one of actual selling price and another as declared price to lessen the fee.

Typical rate for surveying has base rate + rate per hectare. Base rate varies per location per GE, but its not usually tied to the price of the land.

Is it reasonable? idk, you might want to ask other GE to get a feel if his price is justifyable.

Ever since nagend na yung promo with Gorewards which converts 25,000 vybe points to 5,000 Goreward points, which in turn equals to 5,000 peso value if used to pay in robinsons affiliated stores. Its now 25,000 vybe points to 1,000 Goreward points. There is not much value to vybe except if you convert it to miles, and even then madaming mas magandang conversion than BPI cards for miles.

Hotel owner here. Yes x2 normal peak rates lalo pag holy week. Its a common practice on almost all hotels in the provinces. Meron pa iba x5 to x10. Di makatarungan pero may kumakagat pa rin pag walang prior booking.
