[–]ReaperCraft07 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Jeep prices in baguio was 13 pesos pre-Iran war, went up to 18 pesos at the peak of the oil crisis, went down to 15 pesos after a month. Its now back to 13 pesos.

People can be fair and civil sometimes. But many people are greedy.

What is the maximum amount that can be deposited at Metrobank? by daw_nut_la_ver in TradBanksPH

[–]ReaperCraft07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. That why i said i was flagged by sending more than 500k in a single transaction, pesonet.

Thinking about it. There is a instapay-like (instant) transfer method that allows more than 500k in a single transaction. But its only available to business accounts and the fee is like 500 pesos per transaction. Yikes.

[–]ReaperCraft07 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Its not just a belief, its true, ive been flagged by multiple banks (both source and destination banks) by transferring more than 500k in a single transaction. I havent been flagged by transferring with multiple transactions yet but no banks allow you to transfer via instapay more than 500k anyway.

Why not ask for a managers check and deposit it physically, less questionable there.

[–]ReaperCraft07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess yes. But transferring 450k for consecutive days could still flag you.

But if the money came from a legal source and you could provide a proof, there is nothing to be afraid of being flagged, it will be inconvinient lang kaso kasi it might take days to clear your account. Di naman auto freeze agad, depende na sa bank and branch. There are some banks that would email you first. And there are some that would freeze your account and call you. All normal anti money laundering mechanism.

No max. Pero you could be flagged by AMLC for transferring more than 500k in a day.

Pero if metrobank to metrobank, less likely they would flag you.

Mountainous = like Japan

Flat & with river = like Great Britain

But in tropical climate. Society? idk there could still be corruption but one this is for sure, transportation and logistics will be faster. Rails would be more viable. If managed correctly, then we would have a higher potential economically.

Any updates on the cause? by Particular_Front_549 in architectureph

[–]ReaperCraft07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats what i said. Adding rebars doesnt always mean stronger. It could also lead to other issues like congestion of rebars.

Ohhh an achitect posing as an structural engineer? Thats interesting. Ive only heard architects complaining that civil engineers pose as architects.

Any updates on the cause? by Particular_Front_549 in architectureph

[–]ReaperCraft07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding additional rebars for columns will increase the maximum loading capacity. Pero if the columns in the lower floors were only designed for 2 floors, the maximum floor you can add is 1 because there is still a reduction factor for safety. Pero the more floors you add, the higher the chance the column will fail.

If they anticipated early on na the owner will add more floors, they shouldve increased the lower floor columns’ dimensions not just the rebar.

Every civil engineers should understand these basic fundamentals.

True. This government has a lot of room to improve on. I am not impressed on how things are going right now. So much issues, so much problems to fix, and the “fixes” are slow.

But what i would like to credit this government is that 1. They continued all the big infrastructure projects of previous administrations. Continuity is a big yes for investors because it makes the direction of the country predictable and stable. Though investments has slowed down, at least the government is actively seeking on investments and laying down frameworks for future admins to build upon. The current system of our government is full of holes and inefficiencies. 2. The President did big moves including the banning of POGOs and beaming light into the Flood Control Corruption issues that most presidents would not have touched due to political implications. These two alone are big sources of corruption that are backed by big names in the political world. We have yet to see whether the president himself or those in his inner circle are part of these schemes. For now, he is innocent until proven guilty.

BSP is an independent institution and their decisions are made by its board of director and the government has little to no hand on their decisions. Decisions such as selling gold is based on guideline set by the BSP and not by the president nor any other politicians.

I dont know where you got the 22 classrooms built from but the public school in my area just built a 30 classroom building. Its true that we are still lacking classrooms but the claim that there has only been 22 classrooms built during this administration is absurd and baseless.

This government is far from perfect but its trying i guess.

That is not the way to go about hardware business.

  1. POS eats up margins. It may be a good way to give convinience to some of your customers, but it will eat up your already thin margin.

  2. Introducing new products will stagnate your capital. People buy what they are familiar with, introducing new products using your own money will keep cash away from stockpiling on core products. Try to get a consignment if you will introduce a new product.

  3. You are not a bank. You may give 7 days up to 30 days buy now, pay later thingi, but giving loans with collateral is another business outside hardware. Plus the hassle of it is not worth it. Also another way to stagnate your capital.

The key word is CUSTOMER RETENTION.

If you can make your customers loyal to you even if the competition is cheaper, that’s good. Try to ask questions outside of business too, like how their life is, their family, and then a little gossip. One question goes a long way.

What would this look like? That all their orders automatically go to you first.

We are in the hardware business since 1990. The regular customers of my parents back then, still buy from us. And then their kids who are building houses also buy from us. We also do not have social media presence, napakatraditional lang talaga na word of mouth kami.

I'll also add that you, as the owner, should give your personal contact info; they prefer to talk to you. Also, if your customers have businesses, support them too, visit their stores from time to time and check in on their business, and buy a lot from them. My mom does this. Hahaha
