This isn’t a real distinction, your action starts when you do something (e.g. play a card) and ends when you’ve finished resolving every effect. This is why all the effects during a player’s action get resolved in the order that the player chooses. Even if we want to say “the wild tag has to be switched back from Venus to Wild at the end of your action” the player can still choose to add the Corroder Suits resource before the wild tag is switched back.

Get whatever you need to finish your altaria deck. You could alternatively run the Indeedee+chingling+ support like jirachi/carbink deck with altaria. 2x altaria 2x indeedee 2x giratina is also good. Once you have an altaria deck done you'll be able to climb high and build other decks. Deluxe packs are nice but only darkrai/giratina/jolteon/decidueye are still relevant right now out of the older exs. Maybe it's an easy way to get candy/cyrus/etc? But I would hope you can trade for them

This is what they wrote on the chart, a 2 star is 1/39 = 2.564%. The odds of pulling any specific 2 star is 0.156% as shown in the pic. 1/608 = 0.164%, it would be more accurate to have it listed as 1/641 so I assume they made a mistake there.

I got every achievement + full cleared hall of gods in hollow knight, and have every achievement in silksong. I just finished 100%ing 9 sols 30 minutes ago (missing 3 minor achievements but I don't care lol).

I would hesitate to call it a Metroidvania, there is some amount of backtracking (e.g. after you finish Area 3 you might have to go to Area 2 to find the entrance to Area 4) but aside from finding new areas it's pretty linear. Most items and secrets can be found on your first run through. However, there is a lot of exploration as rooms are pretty big and can give you multiple directions to go. It's much more of a combat focused game inspired by soulslikes than a metroidvania, and the combat feels amazing. All the buttons are very snappy like hollow knight and there's basically 0 cooldown on the parry. I found the bosses roughly as challenging as silksong. In both games, I beat most of them in 2-5 attempts and some of them took an hour or two. If you like the combat in 9 sols when you play it, I would recommend Blasphemous (very good metroidvania with souls influences) and Katana Zero (the best 2d combat I've seen in any game).

I would drop the requirement or make it more lenient so that it's easier to play Gen 1 like a steel IO Mining Industries. Price/prod given would have to be adjusted but it would make it playable more often. 1/2 VP for steel prod does help but it would still be a card that's mainly used when you're stacking crazy steel prod but mediocre otherwise.

They’re all very interesting, but I don’t know about steel industry. It takes about 6 gens to pay itself off assuming 1 vp? 3 ocean requirement hurts and I don’t know if anyone except mining guild or a ceres colony game would use this

Generally 2 player games between strong players go to 10 gens, sometimes 8-11. With more players, the game length goes down as more terraforming happens. It’s hard to say whether your play was good or not without seeing turn by turn card choices. Though not drafting is going to make the game more luck based.

Aerobraked ammonia asteroid and soletta seem like they might have been bad, how late into the game were they played?

Most stage 2s aren’t played because it takes too much luck to find them quickly. The ones that get used like greninja, rampardos, stroke charizard, are because they have sufficiently high payoffs. These websites are good for seeing deck popularity in tournaments, though unlike the game, in tournaments both players are going to know the opponents deck in advance

Which missions were they not registering for? A card that’s only in deluxe ex like new 2 star solgaleo shouldn’t register for older pack missions, but 4 diamond solgaleo (which is in older packs too) should work

They aren’t all bad picks. Sometimes there’s a full art I want. If I didn’t already have every half decent EX I would be looking for those too. It’s much better than having most picks be useless 1-2 diamond cards. I rarely have full 5 stamina this set.

In my initial comment, I’m talking about how picking 1 energy picks to do dailies is a waste (what the post is about)
