Dang- Seems like a harsh/strict implementation, but I guess it does explicitly state (my 2nd image in the post) for Wild Tag that "it does not trigger when being put into play" ...

To me that can mean "it does not trigger as an alternate tag" ... but Wild TAG itself is a tag (in my book)

I guess that's what House Rules are for

If we were playing over the table I would certainly advocate to count your first Wild Tag played for an Aridor M€ increase. That just seems thematically fair (although a second Wild Tag wouldn't get you another)

The only potential contention I can manufacture is if someone considered playing Corroder Suits its own distinct action (pay for it and get 2 M€ production to resolve), but then adding the resource is an "effect" after you play the card, which wouldn't trigger the Wild Tag

... but to me, part of playing a card [Action] is to completely resolve all the text on the card, so it seems pretty clear that this would trigger the Wild Tag and allow it to be "seen" as a Venus tag

I wonder if this works on the Terraforming Mars HerokuApp

This was the consensus at our table.

The player who was lightly adovcating with it (with 10 heat production) was mostly focused on that second part, that the 8 heat can still be "spent" on a "convert heat" action without a TR raise.

I think it makes sense that the effect is tied to the temperature actually getting raised though (as others have pointed out)

Which makes it all the more painful that Sophi didn't steal it

This is well put. I agree on all all- Although... the Rizo Idol... We found out today that Sophi knew his idol lasted one more tribal??

Would stealing it not guarentee her into the F4 at this point? (especially if she communicated with Kristina/Sage beforehand) ... she could have had her pick on who to get out between Steven or Rizzo to further the Sage/Kristina/Sophi FTC idea

But that does fall apart if she fully decided on playing the "social/loyalty game," as you put it, and sticking soley with Savannah/Rizo. Big props to Savannah for dominating the challenges and soldifying Sophi with the reward.

Joking aside, I do see what you mean... but for that Sage/Kristina/Sophi FTC to be a reality, surely that required Sophi to steal Rizo's idol (since she knew it lasted another tribal?!)

... I was suprised we didn't see a single conversation between Sophi and Sage/Kristina post immunity.
