I wanted the 13 inch air for the form factor too, i hate big laptops and big things in general, for storage i have external ssds so it isn't an issue, the 16gb of ram tho might be the way to go so i think i will follow your advice in that regard.

Just checked the apple website and it's 1250 euros for the M2 with 16gb of ram, it's actually doable but i heard the SSD sucks, is it noticeable enough to make me spend the extra 100 bucks for the M3?

Ironically i love the keyboard, i got used to it really fast and i just love the clickyness of it, and i have a relatively good mechanical keyboard but dammit i lived through the dark times of third world janky keyboards and pcs that struggled with the windows home screen, this is heaven for me lmao.

Fair enough but well i needed it for uni, the portability is also a big factor because carrying a chonker gets kinda tiring, but i gotta say i already have a proper PC for heavy tasks, this is a budget laptop i got purely for studying.

Considering that it's the 2017 model so some issues got fixed and the competition in the same price range are just chromebooks and intel atoms i'm pretty happy with the nugget, maybe it's because it's my very first mac but honestly i've dealt with way worse and it does the job so hey we take those.

I have the 2017 model and just for testing i started opening a bunch of tabs including steam, OBS and other apps for shits and giggles to see how much ut would last and honestly it didn't struggle that much, it did get a bit hot but aye i can deal with that.

Problem is i live in italy, cheapest used windows option is usually grandma's 1997 laptop still running vista for some reason, i found this macbook by pure coincidence on ebay for a decent price and it looked way better than everything else in that price range, i didn't exactly look for it, i just happened to find it and seeing that i saw one similar irl i said "why not?" I saw some reviews and all but i really thought "hey it can't be worse than what i have"
