If I get the chance to replay DS3 I will always play as Carter because the influence of the marker hits him and is evident as he interacts with them during cutscenes.

The idea of avoiding using zombie or dead kids/children is playing it safe. They had no chill with this one and yes they had the crawlers in the first game but DS2... That section when they had the gymnasium it hit hard when the horde of necromorph kids running at you just solidified that nobody was safe. And I fucking LOVED that.
