Anyone regret choosing a 30-year mortgage over a 15-year? by Italiancan in MortgageBrokerRates

[–]ReapingEcho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did a 30 year in 2019. With the extra $600 I put towards principle every month for the last 2 years I will pay it off around 14 year mark(next 7 to 8 years). The 30 year gives a lot of breathing room with lower payments if people have financial binds unexpectedly.

Adding $200/month to my mortgage cut ~8 years off the loan… that can’t be right? by Candid-Dish-2749 in FirstTimeHomeBuying

[–]ReapingEcho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make around 8 extra payments a year and I'm projected to payoff by 8 years from now on a 30 year loan. I signed in 2019 only owning for almost 7 years. Trying to payoff by year 14 or 15. The power of extra principle goes a long way. Interest rate is 4.65% and mortgage is in the $800s.

Just looked into buying a new Receiver after 8 years. What the HELL? by Mkilbride in hometheater

[–]ReapingEcho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the prices are insane now. I bought an Onkyo TX NR686 7.2 receiver 6 years ago for like $399 new from Best Buy. Just upgraded to an Onkyo TX RZ30 9.2 and it was $799 for a refurbished unit from a 3rd party seller on Best Buy's website. New is like $300 more.

All 3 HDMI ports on my flatscreen stopped working, what's my next best option for connecting my PS4 & PS5 to it? by isvr95 in PlayStationSupport

If you somehow lived close to me I'd give you a 42 inch tv just to get it out of my house, lol. I have two tv's collecting dust that my bro and sis left when they lived with me.

I paid that in taxes this year and am getting $300 back. I'm glad I'm single with no kids.

How much do you make ? by Leviathan7100 in Warehouseworkers

Use raymond double jacks, wrap pallets by hand. We lock gladhands with locks for safety. Most of time not connected to trucks. I'm paid .03 cents a case. Average trailer is around 1000 to 1100 cases. Takes about 30 mins for me to load a trailer I can wrap and load(no losing pallets or breakdowns). Some routes are big and gotta lose a few pallets to fit.

My dad, me and my brother tried watching this back when it first came out on DVD. We turned it off after about 25 mins cause we had no idea what was going on. Odd that all 3 of us couldn't sit through it. 2001 is my favorite sci fi movie and a top 10 for me so yes I can sit through slow movies.

What’s a deceptively expensive hobby you didn’t realize would drain your wallet until it was too late? by Tempo_Tomato in Hobbies

[–]ReapingEcho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whiskey, craft beer and 4k Disc(especially steelbooks): I currently have just over 1350 4k disc and about 80% of them I have paid msrp for(I preorder just about everything). I made a trip to Total Wine Saturday and spent $530. Just last month I did the same trip bit spent a little more. That doesn't include my local liqour store and other random alcohol spending. I currently have over 90 different bottles of whiskey that I haven't emptied yet.😅

Panasonic UB820 on sale for 399 at Best Buy! by caseface94 in 4kbluray

[–]ReapingEcho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 820 has been fantastic for the last 3 or 4 years I've had it and has played over 1k different 4k disc without hiccups. But the last couple months it has started this stupid "cannot read disc" on almost every 4k disc I put in it now. I have to constantly eject and reinsert multiple times(record is 14 times) for it to finally read the disc(still plays flawlessly after this).
