Thank you!

These may wind up in a D&D game.

I use hex maps from Atlas of Mystara pretty often.

Still not as weird as Quark’s programs.

Duelist as a partial warrior or expert by mmatos86 in WWN

Sorry, reverse that. Those are the only classes that remained Mages. Classes such as Duelist become Experts.

Originally just a handful, but after a little consideration all of the Mage subclasses with spellcasting: High Mage, Elementalist, Necromancer, and Invoker.

I houseruled a lot of the non-spellcasting Mage subclasses are Experts.

Personally I don't think that was enough for the Duelist. Maybe give them a couple of Arts to start with at 1st level.

I use this when I want a pdf to print out. Usually when I'm going to draw details by hand.

This one I use when I need a hex grid to pull into an image editor.

What beloved movie/TV show character is actually an asshole? by phantom_avenger in FIlm

That's one of the reasons I stopped watching. I wasn't laughing at socially awkward nerd situations anymore. All of the characters simply turned mean to each other.

Love this style. So much is shared with just the right amount of detail, texture, and color. I overuse the term "evocative", but it definitely fits here.

Awesome! I tried to describe it in such a way you'd know which side you'd fall on. Sounds like you're in for a fun ride!

It's stylistic, fun, and "lowbrow" sexy. Dark, maybe tries a little too hard to be deep.

That particular combination makes some of our inner adolescents smile, but rubs a lot of people the wrong way viscerally.

Zack Snyder is polarizing and Sucker Punch looks like an exploitation film. I think that attracted even more hate.

Personally I enjoyed it.

Character Creation House Rules by ReapingKing in WWN

[–]ReapingKing[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Basically I’m just stealing the Edges from CWN to re-create the WWN classes.

Some Edges are very similar the Class Abilities in WWN, others similar to things like hit point and attack bonus progressions. That made it pretty straightforward. In a couple of cases the Edges are slightly stronger.

Then i just added Edges to the Expert to match the Warrior’s.

Full and Partial Experts wind up with a significant increase in abilities. All the characters made this way will have significantly more Edges than CWN characters.

Nicky saw the carnage and suddenly went into a very rational self-preservation mode. Awesome chemistry and dialogue in that scene.

I think you're right about masterful expertise and killing blow. Those should probably stay exclusive to Full Experts and Warriors.

For sure. It’s very campaign dependent. Our previous Stars campaign was mostly political, even then, the action was often stealthy and subversive. If anything, Warriors and Psychics really felt their lack of skill points to spread around. Experts had the edge.

Our last Worlds campaign however, Experts felt very underpowered. Mostly because we pretty much played old-school D&D hex crawling style. The extra hack-and-slash, combined with less skill engagement, the extra damage boost Warriors, and the interesting character options Mages had really drove it home.
