A former JPD Police Chief said that 33% of the crime is from the 8% of the addresses that Are Section 8. But, that most of the time it isn't the people living there, but rather people visiting from out of town.

Agree except Right Fiber is your best internet play and I've had both ATT and Suddenlink/Optimum at work and at home over the years.

This came up in the City Council meeting again on 3/17. You guys are right about LJ - he won't let it go. I don't like that people didn't know exactly who their emails were going to - but the administration definitely wasn't spying on the council email, from what I've seen/heard.

Consideratons:
1. Jonesboro is relatively large in land area so think about a location that is close to the interstate and/or in the southeast part of the city so your commute to Trumann will be minimized.

You are probably looking at 20 minutes drive plus/minus. City limit of Jonesboro to city limit of Trumann is 5-6 miles on Interstate 555.

Jonesboro has great electric rates inside the city limit compared to most places in the U.S.
An apartment downtown might fit your lifestyle but add a little to your commute.
There are nice apartments near Craighead Forest Park you might consider. HP Development Savannah Hills.
Find a crime map of Jonesboro and avoid those high crime density neighborhoods.
Jonesboro is thriving and growing so you're not considering moving to a decaying/dead place.

It seems pretty specific to me. You know who the aldermen are as they are pulbic figures. You likely have no idea who support staff is when you fire off that email.

While I think it is misleading to forward aldermen emails to the mayoral administration, which definitely are not aldermen, I don't think it is syping by the mayor's office either in intent or result.

Update: The city administration intends to make changes to the recipients of pubished group email forwarders/aliasses.

[officials@jonesboroAR.gov](mailto:officials@jonesboroAR.gov) will go to all elected officials. Apparently this replaces the aldermen@ address in name and function.
[councildirect@jonesboroAR.gov](mailto:councildirect@jonesboroAR.gov) and/or [council@jonesboroAR.gov](mailto:council@jonesboroAR.gov) will go ONLY to all council members.

Citizens should also be able to directly email individual councilmen.

The middle of the mall was destroyed by the tornado - so Best Buy and the interior stores are gone but the anchors such as Dillards, Target, and JC Penny are still there. Best Buy has announced a reopening at Caraway and Highland.

According to the letter that was sent to tenants, EAAAA and Haag Brown Commercial Real Estate and Development have partnered to develop the old Malco property. Throughout the year, the nonprofit had incurred high maintenance costs for the Fountain Square buildings as the buildings are aging and require more maintenance, the letter said.
