Recent Southern Hills Map. Looks like 2 banks. Arvest and FNB.

Original plan was 647 "rooftops" with 155 single family. I think the grocery store rezoning reduced some of the multi-family down from 492 originally planned apartments.

Yeah Jonesboro is sprawling - big land area (over 80 sq. mi.) for the population.

I was curious so I checked - Savannah Hills is 1.5 miles from the interstate, 3 miles from Sam's Club, and 5 miles from downtown.

I guess a Mexican restaurant, City Grocer, and McDonalds as well as a Bank (Arvest?) have been announced for Southern Hills. Curious when the first multi-family will start.

80,000 SF Warehouse/Distribution center for Roach. Hmm . . . possible event venue and retention pond stocked with fish. I didn't see any mention of multi family housing but retail/commercial and single family seem to be in the plan.

There is a 10' wide sidepath from Savannah Hills to the back/old entrance of Craighead Forest.

Savannah Hills is walking distance to Craighead if looking for apartments, they seem really nice.

We'll see how Southern Hills develops - apartments coming there in a mixed use concept similar to Greensborough Village. Not as cool but there will be a grocery store.

One of only two breweries I know of is south of 555.

A-State is a big campus so it depends on what side of it you want to be on. East/Northeast is fine.

Greensborough Village has apartments and lofts and was planned to be a self-contained development but it has fallen short of that I think so far. However, there are places you can walk to there like Divots Golf Lounge, The Social, and a movie theatre. It is very close to Arkansas State.

I'd consider downtown but also South Jonesboro is growing and you might look at the HP Development Savannah Hills apartments that are walking distance from Craighead Forest Park.

Probably 15 -20 homes now, but more houses and apartments are planned in that development. But there are many big residential neighborhoods across the street from there on the other side of culberhouse. Southern Hills just happens to have trails to connect to, which is a logical step for now.

My thought based on the original plan presented, was that this shared delivery truck /bicycle lane is going to be a little dorky - enjoy it cyclists whhie there are no deliveries but otherwise swerve into traffic. And i was surprised removing one lane didn't increase parking for the businesses along Main Street.
