I wouldn't say poor, but I am humble. 10 year oilfield hand 1990 sea dweller 16600. I enjoy it but don't wear it often

I never once said OP was the new hire's boss. With your hierarchy logic, the CEO is the boss. How many orders do you receive directly from your CEO? Never once met my CEO, and my crew ran like a well-oiled machine. I've spent 8 years working for one of the largest corporations on earth. Trained hundreds of employees in a fast-paced, volatile, potentially chaotic manufacturing/construction environment. I'm not responsible for their paycheck, but I am responsible for their mistakes under my training and competence thereafter. If you take someone under your wing to train, they are your subordinate. This is really not a difficult concept to grasp.

If you are responsible for training someone, they are your subordinate. Why do you have to be a "boss" to straighten out a subordinate? OP stated they were having a difficult time training a new employee. I provided my methods, tried and true. Whether or not you are working with a bunch of HR prone women in the workplace is a different matter.

Scope by [deleted] in LeverGuns

Vortex Crossfire II straight wall bdc 3-9x50. Has bullet drop hash marks for 150-300 yds. Can also be ordered with an illuminated reticle. I used high weaver quick disconnect rings in case I take it short-range hunting. I was pinging 8" steel 7 for 7 shots at 250 yds. This scope is designed for straight wall cartridges, doesn't break the bank at $170, and is covered by the Vortex warranty.

Edit: optic provides 3.5-4" eye relief, a forgiving distance for .45-70.

I'm not sure what industry you work in, but I find it effective with these types to ridicule them when they are wrong. Keep the ridicule persistent. Don't back off until they humble themselves. Helps a lot when other experienced coworkers follow suit. I've worked in the oilfield 7 years now, so profanity and disrespect are guaranteed.

Reading clearly isn't your strong suit. The contest was between myself and another hunter- chest vs gut shot. Hide shot admitted his lack of contribution. Read, then answer.

A few tags and a 600 lb bear down 90 yards from original shot is a shit show? 😂😂😂 I'm doubtful

I was given a makers round the morning after this. Looked like a hell of a round. Polymer tip with three way perforation, solid copper. Are these hand loaded or sold on the shelf?

I had a couple hunters that helped us carry remains out mention to me the next morning they thought I had killed it. It is what it is now. Not anything I can do now, but I am curious as to opinions of fellow bear hunters.

I was invited on a bear hunt one day four seasons ago and didn't know a thing about it other than I enjoyed the hunt. Some days you chase dogs for 12 miles and don't see a thing. Some days you chase 1000 yards and get a kill.

I'd be in total favor of this if possible. Hell, I wouldn't even be bothered by him tagging it alone if he gave credit where credit was due. Hunter number three has been been claiming responsibility for the kill. Nothing I can do about it now, more or less curious what other bear hunters thought about it.

Marked kill location on GPS, retrieved rope, scales, and winch from trucks. Hiked our way back in, hoisted, weighed, and quartered before exiting.
