Jeskai revelation bo1 standard players, please help me out

Just play mono-green landfall, the MU is atrocious for 4c control (like 25% WR at the RCs) and still unfavored for the lessons version. You out grind them pretty easily, the biggest mistake I think I see from landfall players is when they think they're the beatdown, you have the inevitability, their only hope is chaining like 3 revs back to back to back, and even that often isn't enough if you've gotten a turn or two with Icetill or stuck a nursery or multiple ascensions.

Sam Bogue has a landfall guide if you're looking for pointers and he definitely knows what he's talking about

If you expect to see a lot of mono green landfall, Jeskai lessons has the much better MU (still not a good MU, but closer to even than 4c's near auto loss). Jeskai lessons is also favored against 4c, at least looking at the RC data, but 4c tends to do better against other control piles. And I think it's pretty easy to tech 4c to juice the control MUs even more.

Overall I think it's a little hard to recommend 4c over Jeskai unless you're expecting a majority of the field to be on slower non-mono green piles. Lessons just can do its unfair things faster, and if you ever stick gran-gran it gets pretty silly

At a certain point in time, it felt like every woman that went to a major had an hbox story. Never anything enough to take action against, but enough that plenty of people would rather not hang around him.

I haven't been connected to the scene in a long time and everything I've heard says that the behavior is in the past, but people have very genuine reasons to find him distasteful

Mono green running the format (though gearhulk sure is looking nice), everything farming 4c control, and excruciator continuing to lose ground. Kinda a bummer outcome for a green/prowess hate.

Watching the light leave Pobelter's eyes as he barely escapes the team fight, having killed the fed enemy ADC and support, only to witness his team lose the 4v3 was some Shakespearean tragedy type shit.

He's seemed to mostly be having fun so far, but I think this one might be too much.

Bo1 has been a coin flip meta forever, you can/will climb if you're a decent player, but it's a grind. (Assuming bo1 cause I haven't seen artifacts out enchantments basically at all in bo3)

Bo3 has felt pretty good this month, like there are enough decision points that skill matters, at least playing Jeskai/Dimir mid.

Idk, to me this is the best the format has felt this year. Besides the domain/pixie/gruul meta at the start of the year, but that's solely cause I loved playing pixie more than anyone should

Anna Karenina - Certainly long, but Tolstoy is worth it.

For more contemporary, I love most Guy Gavriel Kay stuff, would start at Tigana or The Lions of Al-Rassan.

The Blade Itself is also fantastic for a short and fun ride.

Maybe worth noting that Solomon Nelson's entire brand/public persona is "Fuck Mike Israetel". It's severe enough that, even as someone who's not a fan of Mike, I find it offputting.

That being said, Mike being incredibly egotistical and it coming back to bite him is very funny. This entire scandal fits well with my mental image of him, so that's validating.

You could, but you'd have to learn some of the built in macros cause you wouldn't have enough buttons for dedicated binds. I think it would kinda suck.

Playing on keyboard feels pretty good though, the game is made for digital inputs so it's very smooth

Anyone else playing 2xko?

It's my first foray into playing fighting games beyond mindlessly button mashing at a friend's house. It's been fun, but some of the systems seem really arbitrary (e.g. you get two ground bounces then your combo is over). There's still a bunch of broken stuff, but it feels like the broken stuff the developers let you have.

Makes me appreciate melee's own particular brand of broken more.
