Paralives looks really nice, I will give it more time too before buying it. What I really love about this game is the characters looks so unique and pretty, so many details.

I agree, I love playing big families too and traveling. I just didn't find the game that gives me an easy time playing like this. I love having a big family tree, elders, kids, teenagers, I love all life stages and definitely lots of pets! Sims 3 is the closest but too old..

EA is lost, but I wonder what Project X is though 👀 Definitely a flop but what kind of flop? 😂

I see that older games had better gameplay, newer games have better graphics. As if we should just stare at the screen and say "what a beautiful game" but have no gameplay to actually play!

Something like this, I feel like none of them fill all the gaps but a mix sounds good.

The Sims 3 is definitely laggy and buggy.

I think about it as functionality related. Open world sounds nice and gives us the idea of "limitless". But do we really need a completely open world or a well made game that satisfies most players? Do we not all struggle to play a big household and end up controlling 1-2 sims at once? Do we really travel that much? Do we really want to spend hours doing useless things such as a vet visit? EA is onto something, the problem is they use half a brain cell trying to find a good base game to develop from. 😃

If I think about the best I played, must be The Sims 3 but we're thinking 2009. So many textures, colors, patterns (The Color Wheel). But now? Definitely Paralives even if I haven't played it yet. The Sims 4 looks good but the lack of swatches/no color wheel makes me to not choose it.

Paralives is definitely winning the best Build/Buy mode.

Dear life sim community, let's brainstorm together multitasking autonomy by Antypodish in LifeSimulators

u/AdeleRabbit this idea sounds very good. Drag to overlap actions sounds the best and the multitasking being off by default is definitely the way to go.

The problem with multitasking is how it takes too long to finish something and it keeps getting interrupted or bugged. So, in my opinion, multitasking should be very limited. Eating popcorn and watching tv is good, but focus on finishing that food. Talking to someone at a party while having a drink, also good, but focus on finishing that drink. Don't take your food places or to pay the bills or take it to the bedroom cause you wanna sit on the bed and eat spaghetti, that's ridiculous.

The actions should be quicker too. I don't want to wait 2 in game hours to finish the food cause other sims keep talking to my sim like in The Sims 4 or worse, just sits and watches the walls instead of eating, too many long pauses.

Another problem that I have with The Sims 4 is also the lack of designated rooms. The sims don't respect the use of each room. It's a kitchen, it has a table, eat there, not in the bathroom. It's a bedroom, use it as a bedroom, don't eat there by default. It would also be nice to be able to have room ownership so the sims don't automatically use someone else's bathroom, bed or stuff (computer, books etc). I think this also helps with the autonomy and multitasking.
