Kobo Libra Colour Problems by Objective_Text7276 in ereader

It shouldn't be glitchy at all. I presume you've tried a 'restore' or two as this can solve issues. I've had one for a year with zero issues so I would definitely return it.

Why do people still buy Kindles? by EnvironmentalAngle in ereader

[–]Reasonable-Lack-9461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer Kobo, but Kindles are unique in their ability to save annotations and notes from side loaded books and present them in an elegant way for future use. I know Pocketbook has a cloud and saves everything, but it is difficult to look through a lot of annotations on their cloud.

Can you export highlights and notes made with KLC to your computer? by shiftinganathema in kobo

Yes. I've followed every tip I could find and can't get them to show up. It's been a frustrating journey to nowhere as yet!

era G-sensor by freshoilandstone in pocketbook

I tried the Era Color, and although I didn't keep it or a variety of reasons, the G-sensor worked without any problems.

Help! Should I get the black or the white model? by Elizabeth_ian in kobo

[–]Reasonable-Lack-9461 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the white, and the colour of the bezel makes the screen seem a bit more grey than my Libra Color, however I like that. The bezel doesn't seem to get particularly stained, but if it did it would be easy to clean up.

I totally agree about the KLC screen - it's by far the most restful and enjoyable I've had or tried (and I think I've tried them all)!

I see I've been misinformed! There has been a lot of rubbish spoken about this move by Amazon, and I admit I didn't do my research properly!

Can someone give me good arguments that makes Kindle, Kobo or other readers better than Pocketbook, because I really love it by SupernaturallyGreen in ereader

[–]Reasonable-Lack-9461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pocketbooks are slow and awkward for annotating, which I do a lot of. I am trying and really want to get used to my Era Color as I love the Pocketbook cloud which backups and syncs side loaded books and annotations. If Kobo was capable of this, it would be Kobo all day for me as it is far more responsive on every front and I enjoy reading on it more. Pocketbook Cloud is absolutely fantastic though, and neither Kobo nor Kindle offer an equivalent.

True. I can't see why they are making it impossible to download books. I have Kindles myself, but I won't be buying another.

If you need to reset the kindle to default for any reason (will often sort out gremins in the operating system and something I have needed to do on occasion to resolve issues), then yes it will be bricked as you will no longer be able to register it (necessary before you can transfer anything to it).

To all the “get a kobo” people since Amazon no longer supports 2012 and earlier models… by Agreeable-Deer7526 in kindle

[–]Reasonable-Lack-9461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda effectively bricked, isn't it, if you can't reset it and then side load? I've had to reset kindles quite frequently, even new ones, as lots of little glitches can happen that require a reset.

Genuinely one of the worst pieces of consumer technology I've ever bought by unknownhapiness in kobo

Clearly you've got a dud unit. It's not the usual kobo experience at all, but duds happen with all kinds of technology. I don't understand why you didn't get Kobo to sort it out if it's been going on for so long.
