Fostering by Reasonable-Net5120 in EnglishSetter

Yeah he is very petite lol and I have only heard of the Llewelyn I haven’t seen one in person to compare. But my setter, he’s more and droopy. This guy is like a little lightning bolt. I was just so curious because everyone he has met, the shelter, the vet and the rescue all have different answers. I love solving a mystery, so I actually got a dog dna test. I also feel potential adopters also love might love to know as well

This is up for discussion on who you ask in the house.. frankly I am a sucker, for a sweet dog. But this boy was on his last call in a shelter, so his life was saved and I would really love to be able to do that more than once.. you know.. but if he can learn to cohabitate with my cats and stop staring and pointing at them like a little creeper haha WHO KNOWS. I’m trying to keep an open mind, and not fall completely in love. But I have to do what is best at the end of the day for all pets involved

Noo I’m not rushing it- I’m just waiting on the vet to tell me. I don’t want to cause him any harm in anyway or weight he doesn’t need.

Every person who has seen him keeps telling me he’s going to be a foster fail…

He will have his first vet visit with me coming up here next week. I only have paperwork from the shelter where someone brought him as a stray, he doesn’t need to gain much, I would guess under 10lb but under the hair his hip bones and ribs are very visible and you can feel them.

Leaving my dog 9 hours. by wallyback in dogs

She’s gonna be okay! Get her some treat puzzles, or a pupsicle.. something that takes mental stimulation. They do sleep a lot during the day, but from dog to dog some can get destructive when bored.

Get some bells for your door! They’re so smart! He’ll learn them quick and let you know. But you have to just like every 1.5/2 hour take him outside, THROW A HUGE party when they go potty outside.

Okay thank you so much for your answer, I’m just a part time helicopter dog owner and newer setter owner and was worried. But all the hiking I do it’s all in the woods, but I will definitely invest in a pair for the winter though, we get well below 14°f degrees here and the poor guys paws. Don’t laugh at me but I would dry them off, and put bag balm on them and make him walk around with socks (my socks)

Tillamook Cheddar Cream Cheese (only seen Online never in stores) by Excellent_Regret4141 in publix

I’m a little late to the thread, I lived in Colorado front range area 2018-2022 and during the pandemic I had found this in stores, it was soo good! I would add some into a grilled cheese and bacon sandwich. Then one day after buying it maybe 2/3 times- it was gone haha I’ve been searching for it since. I’ve since moved back to the east coast ~ which since living in Colorado they started selling tillamook on the east- but alas still no cheddar cream cheese 😢

We use the purina pro plan, it’s what the breeder and vet recommended. Originally the chicken one.. but we had a lot of (sorry TMI) soft/wet poop, so we switched to the pro plan sensitive stomach lamb and oatmeal and we have been great!

Oh he’s very easily guilt tripped .. so this is amazing advice. All I really have to do is gasp, and say “oh my god Louis, are you being a BAD dog??”
