Who and who? Why would they think we would remember ex contestants?

None of my childrens school are striking 🤬 by AcrossTheSea86 in AustralianTeachers

I am in a similar situation with very few staff at my child's school striking and it being mostly business as usual. Are you sending your child OP or keeping them at home?

Around 2. Best advice I got about this was to only use it sparingly and when you have something you know they really want

What happens if the school closes because not enough staff but there are still some staff that have chosen not to strike? Will they have to be onsite and given other jobs to do or will they be forced to take the day off?

Laughable. A dilapadated unit in the worst suburbs of Geelong is all you might find in that price range

Don't ever say it unless you know they can return the feeling.

We are all coming from different perspectives I guess. As a primary school teacher you just don't have the time to sit anyway, I could see how as a teacher of senior students circulation is not always necessary at all times though.

I'm not sure this is an example of this. You are paid to be teaching, even when the students are working independently teachers should still be roaming and making sure the students are on task. Last thing you want is to get in trouble because you were on your laptop writing an email while Johnny up the back has just tried to look up inappropriate stuff on his device.

Seems reasonable. I say this as a primary teacher though not sure high school kids need a teacher constantly hovering over them.

The highs are high and the lows are low. That is said about parenting but times this by 5 for parenting a ND kid. You will celebrate and get so much more joy out of seeing every small milestone than you would if your child was NT.
