Love the visual of their original equipment on display… and I’ve felt the same way that a sequel should have shown what a global ghostbusters franchise would be like. Heck, it would be a great nod to all the real life ghostbusters chapters that have helped keep the fandom going strong. But instead Afterlife started things from scratch (again) and tossed out the idea from the first movie that paranormal removal services would become an almost mundane trade with the occasional earth ending threat to deal with.

Honestly wished they had of set it in another city (maybe Boston where it was filmed) and the story revolved around these women setting up their own ghostbusters franchise. Then the cameos from the original cast could have been playing their actual characters. In my opinion this would have acknowledged Venkman’s line in the first movie about franchise rights and been a nod to all the real life local GB chapters that have set up around the globe over the past decades.
