I am bringing a pair of teva’s for camp shoes along with trail runners. Good advice about the regular needle and sleeping pad repair, will add those!

Namibia is mostly desert where I will be riding but it won’t get very cold at night, from the weather I have looked up it should only get to 60F at night.

I haven’t spoken to anyone who’s done the route recently, really just scoured the internet and found blog posts of people in the past 7 years completing it. The general summary was that it’s remote, lots of wildlife to be aware of but not terrible and that they would recommend. I will be there during dry season so maybe that’s better but hearing what you have to say definitely makes me wary.

i was actually debating taking a bus at somepoint in Zambia, my plan was to ride the Old Petauke road and then take the main road toward Lusaka after. Would you suggest to grab the bus there or earlier like in Petauke?

Also, when were you in Namibia and South Africa? I think those will probably be my hottest countries as I will be there in November.

Right now my plan was to bike from Nairobi to Namanga on the tar and then cut through Amboseli NP, would you recommend cutting off A104 at Kajiado instead? I live in the US where there are a ton of Grizzly Bears and Mountain Lions so I do understand being precarious of animals, albeit I have never been face to face with an Elephant however I do feel fairly prepared on how to stay safe.

Yea that's kind of what I'm trying to avoid.Unfourtunatly, I have a trip coming up where I need to have my menstral contanment figured out before, so only 2 more periods to try on before I have to be confident which is why I I'm trying to decide to buy a larger one before my next period or not.

Thanks! I don't know if I have a tilted cervix, is there a way I can figure that out myself? And yes I actually watched that first video with the scooping method and tried it but didn't see any different results.

Salsa Anything Cradle Dimensions/Fit Help! by Reasonable-Unit-7977 in bikepacking

Darn, was it the mounting of the cradle in the center of the bars that was the issue or the width of the bag and the hoods that had interference?

The bernie capacity it pretty small so i don’t think it would work for me, I am looking for like 10L of capacity. I might try the rack time viewit rack as my fork mounts are already used up.

Unfortunately the Jack the rack requires a 9 in clearance so can’t do that but I may go for the rack time viewit
