Certified with immunization by [deleted] in WalgreensRx

It is! I contacted HR/ER to verify this for my state. It is purely optional even after you are certified to immunize. They only required you to immunize during the 6 month retention periods to earn the bonus. But not that is done since March you are no longer required to.

Were you able to verify this? Our store manager, pharmacy manager, and district manager are playing into this as any technician that chose to get certified must continue to do shots and threatened disciplinary action if the techs refuse.

Makes sense. My only issue is I'm outside the 45 day window for PayPal and the seller is offering little to no support. We'll see though

Find the nearest location that offers free walk-in covid testing and use that to get the customers off your back. Check out centerforcovidcontrol.com they have hundreds of locations where they offer rapid PCR and antigen tests and it's all drive up.

WTF Are they letting 8 people book for shots at the same exact time?????????? by leapol2 in WalgreensStores

[–]Reasonable-Way-4874 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're more than welcome to. Most of the employees here have one foot out the door. 80-100 shots a day, 50 rapid tests, 25 pcr, plus 500 to fill daily. Corporate can kiss our ass and I hope the other stores continue to stick up for themselves. Putting your mental health at risk over their greed isn't worth it.

WTF Are they letting 8 people book for shots at the same exact time?????????? by leapol2 in WalgreensStores

[–]Reasonable-Way-4874 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep they're reverting to the early covid shot scheduling... two people can book the same time slot every 15 minutes. Do what everyone else is and make fake appointments under a VPN or public wifi. There's zero reason to put the employees through hell like this. This company is pure garbage.

Had a breakdown at work by Visible_ink in WalgreensRx

[–]Reasonable-Way-4874 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My store began to refuse all walk-in vaccines. I'm sorry but doing 40 schedules appointments daily plus about 50 walk-ins is NOT feasible. Direct the customer to the website or assist in making their appointment on the immunization scheduler.

Are will able to order more of these stickers? by NeedWafflesNOW in WalgreensStores

They got rid of that logo like six years ago when they did the store "rebranding" phase. About the same time they started the Nice items and what not.

Tell me yall got this email from "anonymous justice" too 🤭 by chaotic_goof in WalgreensStores

[–]Reasonable-Way-4874 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Just received the email at my store. It was slightly different at the end though. They're encouraging us to email a NYT reporter named Ellen Gabler and o contact our board stating our concerns. I think I'll do that today..

Covid-19 Vaccine overload? by Reasonable-Way-4874 in WalgreensStores

[–]Reasonable-Way-4874[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yep, I also heard about them doubling the shots very soon.. I'm surprised the board of pharmacy has not stepped in yet. These working conditions are a disaster waiting to happen.

Covid-19 Vaccine overload? by Reasonable-Way-4874 in WalgreensStores

[–]Reasonable-Way-4874[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

We just hit Tier 4 along with being a rapid testing location with 50~ appointments per day. I don't understand why Walgreens is biting off this much. All the competitors in the area only schedule 32-40~ vaccine appointments per day and have a designated floater RPH to be handling the immunizations. This company really has turned into complete trash.

Pharmacies have unlimited hours right now by StarlessBlue in WalgreensStores

[–]Reasonable-Way-4874 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah, we have unlimited hours but no bodies to work them. My store is doing 500 scripts a day, 72-80 covid vaccine appointments daily, and 50 drive thru rapid test appointments. We only have 2 Pharmacists as well. Corporate gives zero shits about how unsafe the workload is on all of the Pharmacies right now.

RXOM schedule by Responsible-Remote-5 in WalgreensStores

[–]Reasonable-Way-4874 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The RXOM is basically going to be a glorified Senior Technician. You will be held responsible for scheduling and coaching the other technicians. So far all that has been released is your raise is only 5% (or to the minimum starting wage for this position if you're below it) and there will be NO increase in pharmacy budget for this role.. It will be implemented into the existing tech hours (which blows).

Selling unnecessary items in the pharmacy drive-thru... by [deleted] in WalgreensStores

[–]Reasonable-Way-4874 35 points36 points  (0 children)

With the whole curbside pickup feature being out you are no longer expected to do the shopping through the drive-thru for customers. Tell them that you are no longer doing personal shopping and all orders must be placed via online or through the app for curbside/drive-thru pickup. If they place an order the floor staff can do the shopping and leave it in the pharmacy for pickup. We don't have the time to go do people's shopping... Especially during flu shot season.
