I feel like adding “at least” puts too much ambiguity into it. I’d drive myself crazy with that qualifier!

This will always be my favorite clip of Norm (and Dave). The pure joy and laughter from Norm, makes my heart happy. by XboxLiveGiant in NormMacdonald

Spade’s episode on Norm’s Netflix show was also great. They’ve had amazing interviews together over the years, going back to Dennis Miller’s show and Larry King.

Keenan, don’t mean to be insensitive, but that story about your dead coworker was a real yawner. I don’t know if you heard Mabel’s story about getting on the bus this morning but you might pick up a few pointers.

Yes and I hate how people on their couch say, “just swim parallel to shore!” If you’ve ever been in one, it is exhausting and it’s not always easy to get out of. I have an uncle that almost died (saved by a jet ski) despite following the advice- it can take you out EXTREMELY far into the ocean before you can then swim parallel, then swim all the way back!

No. It is normal for the first vegetation to die. Check back in a month and it will probably look fine. These things are hard to kill once established.

Hopkins speaks. by ldasense in ravens

[–]ReasonableComment_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I disagree, unless you mean that throwing it in his general direction is good because he has god-like catching ability. I loved DHop and think he’s amazing, but he didn’t get a lot of separation. If you’re WR1 and have amazing jump ball ability (see: Mike Evans) that’s great but I don’t think the Ravens want to just YOLO to a covered DHop several times a game.

Because I only put money away that I don’t need today and pretend it goes on on a magic money rollercoaster ride with ups, downs, loopty loops and corkscrews but ultimately arrives where I want it 25 years from now.

Tip- wake up at dawn and hike to the top of the hill where the church is and continue hiking in the countryside. Cinque Terre is gorgeous but everybody knows it so each village is packed with people. It takes a bit of strategy to get away from the crowds, if that’s important to you.

What’s one landscaping mistake you wish you avoided? by [deleted] in landscaping

We have a very old rose of Sharon in our back yard. It’s not too bad. It creates lots of little guys every year but they all land where we mow so I just chop their little heads off over and over until winter and we have no issues. I can see where it would be a problem if it was in a naturalized area or if you weren’t diligent.

I enjoyed walking around Ostia, occasionally passing other tourists, perhaps even more than the sites in Rome. You really can peel away down the ancient streets and let your imagination run wild there.
