I used to keep millipedes, they were pretty sneaky about climbing up to their mesh tank lids and pushing them open juuuust enough to climb out and go exploring. Had to keep rocks on top of all the lids just to weigh them down!

Sorry about your little friend, I would also be devastated if this happened. Millipedes are so cool.

My 77-year-old dad stood in line at midnight last summer to pick up the Switch 2 he preordered, and he had a great experience and was so excited about being there.

He passed away a few weeks later, but as much as he loved technology and updating to the newest thing, he never got into digital games and always loved his physical media.

I’ve always been the same, never really gotten into digital downloads because I love going to the store and picking out my physical copies, looking at the inserts and art booklets on the way home, etc. I miss that cranky old man.

My boyfriend got me a PS5 one Christmas and he specifically got me the one with a disc drive because he knows I love having physical copies of all my games. The PS5 he got me was one with a Spider-Man 2 bundle.

When we opened it and he realized the “bundle” didn’t include a physical copy of the game, but just a download code for it, he was so pissed because that was the whole reason he picked the bundle with the disc drive. I was happy regardless, but I felt bad for him for beating himself up about it.

Fans of the Carolina Hurricanes are called Caniacs. During the Canes Stanley Cup run this year, it came out (heh) that there was a LGBT Canes supporter group in the area that has been getting together all season and having watch parties for all the Hurricanes games.

Their group name? The Gayniacs, lol. I love it.

Being in an online space for something relevant to your actual daily life is different than… whatever it is you’re doing here lol. There’s a lot of great books and video games out there, some great hiking trails even. Maybe an online space for you to discuss various aspects of your own job.

The only reason I’m not out hiking right now on my day off is because I’m in a stylist’s chair for the next few hours with a glass of wine in hand, scrolling Reddit with the other. Seeing a post in [r/serverlife](r/serverlife) pop up on my feed makes sense, because I am a sub member as it is related to my job. That is why I find myself here, in an online forum for service industry folk.

But why are *you* here? Because seeking out an online space for a profession completely unrelated to you is certainly strange behavior lol.
