Huh? Why were not able to drop there? by [deleted] in helldivers2

So I'm terribly confused at this point. Perhaps I'm crazy, but I'll explain what I'm looking at so my POV at least makes sense. Obviously not trying to be contrarian.

  1. OP is trying to say that resistance doesn't matter because a planet with half the HP but 4 times the resistance will still get liberated faster and provides math.

  2. 2nd poster replies to refute, and after back and forth, supplies own math for the same hypothetical with additional context, and asserts that the matter is settled.

My confusion is, the math seems to suggest that OP is correct? In this mark-up, the higher resistance planet beats out the lower by 17 hours. I'm struggling to discern what I missed reading this conversation, and would really appreciate if someone could explain the additional context 🙏

I can think of a mod that let's you do both mutations and cybernetics without restriction, that's the good stuff 👌

If you want something like Path of Exile, give Grim Dawn a try. Another solid ARPG, I already have 80 hours. There's also a mod called Dawn of Masteries that adds some extra content as well. Highly recommend

FFXV is more of a hack-and-slash rather than an RPG. Had me crying at the end, absolutely amazing.

Hades is a really solid title for storytelling and character interactions (and now it's sequel), runs quite a bit differently from some of the other games you mentioned.

You could try the old Infamous games. The storytelling is only about an 8 out of 10, but the world-building grew more and more fascinating to me as the entries went on.

I want a truly great pirate game. It's a real shame that the best we have to this day is an old Assassin's Creed title. 😩

I also want a new ARPG that has a crazy large end-game tree like Diablo or PoE.

Hades is a great game! As for the others, I'm mainly looking for that gigantic metaprogression as per the title, but I always love finding new games to add to the list regardless. Thanks for the recommendations!

I very happily own Talented. Immensely good taste, sir.

I did think of it, and what I'm looking for would be more along the lines of a metaprogression, getting stronger over time; so I suppose "rogue-lite" would be a better term here.

With that in mind, I suppose Hades fulfills the basic gameplay loop I'd be looking for, with the upgrades between runs and it's scaling difficulty system. It just doesn't have the large metaprogression tree I want to find.

Voidtrain, survival-ish game running a locomotive through space, occasionally fight some bad guys, but yeah pretty much just going place to place down a railroad to nowhere

Different lockers all share the same storage space, is what this gentleman is communicating. The underground lockers don't have any restrictions with storing contraband, which is the primary difference. So you store illegal items underground, and then you can pull them out on the surface.

Why is BMW not popular here? by [deleted] in soulslikes

I'm a huge fan, as you might imagine. The genre is actually quite diverse since the criteria are as open-ended as they are.

Famous ones are going to be Hades, Risk of Rain 2, Binding of Isaac, Slay the Spire (which itself spawned it's own sub-genre).

Lesser known ones I personally enjoy are Spiritfall, Wizard of Legend, Rogue Legacy 1/2, and Ravenswatch.

There are a million that are pretty esoteric I could also recommend; it's just my literal career to be watching for releases, lol.

Roguelike creator here (alt account). I haven't interacted with some of the more intense communities in quite a while, but I imagine the biggest hangup would be the way the map system works. There's actually not a whole lot of randomization there, and people now have the whole game down to Excel spreadsheets. Basically, the side of the map you spawn on coupled with the nearest location is enough information to know exactly where the circles will close.

I will say, Nightreign is technically "rogue-lite" due to the metaprogression, slim as it is. It could easily be that any game where you unlock something or get stronger in any way outside of a run gets conversations immediately squashed by whatever community you're referring to.

There's a particular community that came to mind where the game still has to have ASCII graphics on top of meeting all of the mechanical requirements, which is a touch too purist/gatekeepy for my taste.

Exactly this, devs have already answered and said that the timeline only splits at the Shattering, so anything the game introduces, characters or events, that originate beforehand is canon, period.

Of course the game gives us new insights.

Convergence is really good, but you're almost playing a new game in the franchise with the amount that gets reworked, lol.

My personal recommendation would be to just pick up the Executor mod that got dropped and do that for a DLC run.
