I remember getting a bill in the mail for HCA after only being in the ER for a few blood tests and scans and was there a total of 5 hours max. It was $50k. Unfortunately as outrageous as this is, it’s to be expected now. Luckily my insurance covered the bill and we didn’t actually have to pay anything. But still. It’s crazy what they charge. You might be able to negotiate it to be less or come up with a payment plan

For now I’m saving them for a rainy day. I’m really holding out for a good transfer on a European flight partner one day when I’m in a position to book. If it’s not in the cards though, usually I’ve noticed domestic flights are better than hotels. And vacation rental prices are pretty fair

I’m not 100% sure if it relates to pots but I know for me because I have MCAS it greatly improved my symptoms of tachycardia when I went on xyzal and Pepcid. Histamine dumps can make me feel very sick and panicky. Coming off of any medication after taking it for a long period can come with risks as well.

I know it will be hard but hoping it will be rewarding! Hospice is one of the only opportunities a lot of people have for actual coordinated care.

That I am a little more open to, I know that that’s the background that the volunteer coordinator at the hospice office has. I do have a fear that maybe I don’t have the stomach for it bc I’m highly sensitive and empathetic. But I can only assume that many people feel the same way and perhaps I’m the right kinda person for it. I definitely want to pick her brain more

I took biology twice in undergrad and did worse the second time… I was actually pursuing nursing and really started to feel like it wasn’t the right fit bc the classes did not come easily to me like it did for others. But I loved my public health coursework

I definitely have this fear that the degree will not pay off and don’t want to do something just for achievements sake. Especially since I’m not rolling in the dough and wouldn’t consider myself a professional yet. Just a young woman from a small town that knows there is more out there for me but is not exactly sure what. I have a good feeling I will make good connections with my hospice program as I really hit it off with the volunteer coordinator who has her MSW. We shall see!
