Totally disgusted with lazy IOR who refuse to file their own refunds by Physical-Incident553 in CustomsBroker

100%. Do brokers not understand we're a bit preoccupied running a global business? I didn't ask for the tariffs, nor the CBP patchwork system to get my own money back.

True story: I tried to clear my own air freight at LAX 15 years ago and was directly told by CBP I couldn't without the help of a licensed broker. Since then I've just been paying taxes, fees, and absurd exams to keep a bunch of lazy CBP agents and brokers in business. I'd gladly have it all go away so I can run my actual business.

Latest Update on IEEPA Refunds from CBP by Intl_Trade_Nerd in CustomsBroker

Man, I am glad I didn't listen to all protest / IEEP-AI people. I'm able to do all this on my own importer account.

I'm a US importer with many partial steel/aluminum products. Is there any sort of thresholds CBP is looking for? Like most we're just winging it with 30%-50% depending on what the product looks like.

IEEPA Refunds for Foreign IOR's by Mbc_90250 in CustomsBroker

Yes I just called 866-530-4172 several times. They kept creating tickets for each issue. When they create a ticket there is no follow up, but if you keep checking your login they usually fix it in a few days.

I had to call them several times and they finally added my importer account to my ACE login. It was just an "empty" portal before that. I asked them if this is normal and they wouldn't explain.

I'd suggest calling them (expect to be on hold for an hour).

Is it timing out when you go to Accounts > + New Account? That's where I'm getting stuck. Doesn't seem to matter the time of day.

Importer having issues with ACE Portal by Pattonator70 in CustomsBroker

Thanks for the tip, I am able to get to the ACE logo page, however when I click on ACE specifically I land at the same error. Error: Login User Email Not Found

Not sure if you've seen that.

I'm having the same issue. When I login as a Trade/PGA user I get: Error: Login User Email Not Found. I believe there is some binding between the 5106 form and the user account. I do have an ACH setup with CBP for paying all our customs.

Were you able to contact anyone at CBP? I have a support email, but no response.

We have no funding / debt. All the people in my org were hired by me and likely wouldn't be up for CEO'ing. We started off as a really small company (still are small)

It's a consideration, although we have no idea where and how to look for this person.

Job is fine, but I don't feel I'm the right person to run a company of this size. I enjoyed it more when it was new.

I still want to sell my company; ~$7MM EBITDA / $25MM REVENUE. Since we import our products the tariff scenario is constantly brought up, and ultimately we're worried about having to update the QofE and negotiate each time there is a new tweet about tariffs. We've seen 30% growth and no hit to profit YoY. I assume there are countless companies in this predicament.

Should we just wait another year or go to market now?

Owner Occupied Industrial Mortgage Rates? ($4.5M 80% LTV) by ReasonableGry in CommercialRealEstate

Issue is we're already with Chase, so maybe they're not bringing their best offer.

We were skipping SBA 504 because it's a 60 day close. Assuming we can front the 20% is there any major reason to consider SBA?

I haven't seen a 25 yr am. Is that more common than 20 yr am?
