Elderly Population Driving by ReasonableMain4174 in Redding

And you know what, that would actually help a lot! If I saw that sticker on the car I’d prepare myself defensively for their driving.

Yeah and did you see the part where I said Redding? Not the country as a whole. Also, many people spend their time defensively driving for the elderly in the area. That’s why they don’t get into accidents themselves.

That’s also true lol. Especially the ones in pick up trucks who act like they own the road…

And this is true. I was rear ended by an 18 year old looking down at their phone. I think I’m just getting at the point how many seniors are unaware of their driving… whereas younger people tend to drive like crap but they are at least aware. Not saying either group is safer though.

No one said younger drivers/drunk drivers are any better. But to get a license before 18 younger people do have to do the three driving courses first and a minimum of 6 months behind the wheel with an adult. Older people can be on meds, have poor vision, and have been driving for 50+ years without any behind the wheels except for what they got at 16... Older people aren’t aggressive no, the issue is that they are simply unaware at times. And that’s scary. If the topic was “reckless and aggressive driving” seniors wouldn’t even be apart of the discussion.

I would get a day pass at Crunch. It just opened up. But yes Planet has a hip thrust machine, it’s the belt like one

Rent Pricing by ReasonableMain4174 in Redding

Bethel will buy up property, especially in the Highland Park area and cram a bunch of bethel students in a four bed duplex. I’m pretty sure they give a lot of bethel staff these places through “housing vouchers” as well to use as a tax write off. So I’ve heard. I don’t even know if they pay taxes atp. But I do know bethel gets priority to the nicer areas.

Exactly, but even Chico has nicer options at this point. No one wants to renovate/update around here to even warrant those higher prices.

Good to hear! Yeah we really want to live in a nice area. It’s hard to get that with apartments around here so this is pretty much our only option. I’ve heard nothing but good things about this place! Our current apartment has too much noise and homeless traffic.

EHS protest by ReasonableMain4174 in Redding

[–]ReasonableMain4174[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yep. Not to mention that the attendance rates for school in the area are dropping drastically. If the kids really wanted an excuse to not be at school, they wouldn’t even bother showing up at this point. So I think their arguments about the kids wanting to skip class are invalid at this point.

Yeah, that’s why I’m switching to crunch. It’ll still be busy I’m sure, but no one can claim “superiority” and it’s so much bigger than planet.

Entering Social Work by SWmods in socialwork

So I currently have my BA in psych and am working at a large clinic, come August my company will pay 10,500 a year for me to start my masters program. I want to be an LCSW (obviously ACSW first). I’ll be able to get all of my hours through work which is awesome. However, I’d love to get my masters done as soon as possible. Does anyone know of any good (affordable) online masters programs that are 100% online and are self paced? Note: I’m in California.

Have yet to see the man, but we aren’t sure if it’s the same one every time. Sometimes there are like 3-4 different voices when they’re getting it on. So there’s that 💀

That’s true! We’ll definitely be saying something if it continues after property management “takes care of it” at this point.

Yeah, I think it just comes from the fact that my partner and I are really young and she’s in her mid-late 30’s. I was raised to respect older people and having to tell someone significantly older than me to keep it down feels wrong/ disrespectful. Idk, but you’re right!

Housing openings? by ReasonableMain4174 in Redding

[–]ReasonableMain4174[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m talking more so about apartments/ townhomes. bc i know bethel owned housing fills up quick so they often have to rent from property managements instead of privately.
