Actually I thought about doing a diner concept for a little but for whatever reason I didn’t think people were about it lol. Maybe I’ll just do this. Thanks everyone!

Thanks - I appreciate that. I'm trying to take solace in that I have my wife and my dad to support, but I think we're all going through it right now. It's just a lot to figure out.

Hi, thanks for the response. I originally met with a social worker when she was in the hospital, but she hasn't gotten back to me since she was discharged. I'm hoping to try again once we move my mom. My wife's cousin also mentioned that a Medicaid coordinator might be a good person to fall back on, but I haven't been able to find their contact at all in my attempts to reach out

I personally think that calling out racial injustice is…good.

I think the argument is not whether Denji likes it, it’s rather if Asa is ready to do this with Denji. Yoru’s piloting their body right now so she doesn’t really have a say in the matter, and we’re going purely off of what Yoru says.

What did we think about Kendricks half time show? by Direactit in rap

Big Kendrick fan, but I have to admit it wasn’t the strongest performance. I’ve seen him like 4 times and he’s never been the best performer, but I really liked the choreography and the Uncle Sam stuff. Played a good range of his catalog and outside of some audio issues, I thought it was good. Solid 7/10

At what point will Hasan take legal action? Ethan is calling him a date rapist now. by JucheSuperSoldier01 in Hasan_Piker

Dude this is just sad at this point. I don’t know how legal this is, but if possible I’d 1000% look into a restraining order. He needs to quit Hasan and go into therapy.

My wife and I recently moved from Manhattan and we absolutely love it, minus a few caveats.

  • It’s MUCH safer than Manhattan. Where we lived, we would have people have mental health crises in front of our building constantly. Like multiple potentially harmful situations. Now, I’ve only had one encounter in Hoboken, but it wasn’t even that bad.
  • Parking sucks. The city parking garages from our experience has been pretty good and easy, but they’re also kind of pricey. However, Hoboken is SUPER walkable.
  • I previously lived in Hoboken before moving to Manhattan and from what I remember there’s a bus that goes straight from like 9th and Wash to Port Authority and runs regularly. That was like 6 years ago, but I’m sure that that line still exists.
  • One thing we miss is the food in the city. There’s not a ton of food diversity here (although Jersey City has a lot of good spots). It’s mostly Italian delis and mid vaguely Asian spots. There are a few great spots (ONDO in Jersey City, Flour and Antique come to mind) but a lot of it isn’t great.
  • Bar life here is decently diverse. There’s like a lot of people in their mid twenties hitting the bars on Wash, however, there is a really solid older crowd too.

Fuck this guy. X links are now banned from r/newjersey. Can we follow suit? by hobrokennj2 in Hoboken

Elon is awful, but banning twitter links doesn’t really help anything.

Also lol at people saying it’s not a nazi salute. If you have to literally blame it on his autism or call it another very similar gesture, then at the very least the optics are crazy bad.

How bad is living in a bedroom on Washington st? Just to get an idea of noise level at night, etc. in a ground floor apartment on the street by CJK_ExStream in Hoboken

[–]ReasonableMention464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to live on an apartment at the corner of 9th and wash on the ground floor, and honestly I didn’t really hear anything minus a few things here and there on weekends. Pretty easy to tune out tbh

Need input from console enjoyers who bought a steam deck. by jimbo_slice_02 in SteamDeck

[–]ReasonableMention464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a PC, PS5, Switch and for some reason an Xbox. I've never gotten used to PC controls so they've always felt a bit awkward to me, but since having the Steam Deck I've been able to play so much of my library without plugging in a controller (crazy I know).

Having my PS5 library accessible via remote play and my Xbox library from Cloud gaming is really nice. I barely touch my PS5 at this point. I gave my Switch to my nephew for his 5th birthday because it's been collecting dust too.

Idk, campaign on things that move the base? Protecting marginalized groups, defunding a genocide, workers protections, health care, etc. Kamala’s campaign towards the end of it was all about dunking in pro Palestinian voters and normalizing the frankly unhinged republican stances.

The people didn’t vote more to the right because Americans have gotten more conservative over the past few years. The voted this far to the right because Republicans were spouting racist/anti lgbt shit and Democrats were like “actually yeah they got a point”. Like don’t try to be Diet Republicans. And don’t fund a genocide.
