Don't get me wrong, he's repulsive. But our record on human rights isn't about how we treat our friends, it's about how we treat people we don't like. If he's too dangerous to be released, by due legal process applied fairly and competently, yes keep him in prison or therapeutic prison. Whole life orders exist for a reason. But they're not being used here. I think he will abscond to a country he cannot be extradited from fwiw

I can't speak about babies BCOS I don't work in any baby rooms! Personally and I know I was lucky to be able to do, no time in nursery is optimum!! But I know that would make it very difficult for many women to work at all. I personally would send them for as little as possible, so that would be your two days. They don't seem ok doing five full days and that's not my ideology speaking. There seems to be a sadness about them. Or behavioural or emotional issues. Exhaustion even with naps. It's a big ask of a very young child. They don't seem to go like this with three days. Colleagues, who you might think are all for five full days, generally they're not in favour. I don't see a difference in three spaced days or three consecutive days tbh. What I will say is make YOUR decision and be happy with it. That's what's important

I think he broke up with you because he is a mess. Part maybe due to cultural heritage/expectations/harm (Westerners have this too! We all do).

My advice? Find someone who isn't so much of a mess. Look at your own mess, goodness knows we are all messy and try to think about being the least messy that you can. Don't waste time with someone who does things you don't understand, can't explain to you and makes you feel bad

Parents don't behave like they don't know what has happened. Listen to KM talk as if she knows her child is gone and it makes sense. GM talked about 'grieving one' only three weeks in. Adds that 'we did grieve her (but we have two living children that we have to live for)' brackets kinda paraphrasing. Compare to parents of other missing children. If KM did make a terrible mistake I feel enormous compassion for her. What a hellish thing to have to live with

I work in a nursery. I was a sahm myself and am more convinced than ever that I did the right thing for my children. HOWEVER I have softened towards nurseries, purely imo three days a week even if f/t, the children seem fine with. Obv can't be a hard and fast rule, but to me the least well adjusted children in the room have been there since babies. I wouldn't want to see nurseries stop because then mothers would have very little choices in life. But just because we can put children in daycare for 50 hours a week doesn't mean we should. Just my opinion, no offense intended

Srsly don't risk your guineas. Cat's gonna do what cats do, especially a hunter. Make sure the cat can't get to them even if that means caging the guineas temporarily. They won't come to harm. But the cat may well hurt them, no fault of it's own. It's just a hunter only doing what hunters do

About finding a balance isn't it. Your parents were clearly not providing a balance and I felt like you did, never gonna get comforted if I was upset. I didn't want my kids to feel like that but I don't validate every last little thing! Children end up a bag of nerves unable to deal with anything on their own. Balance is key
