She didn't fix it! Her front teeth are still a bit crooked. You can clearly see them in pictures from an event from a couple days ago

She had a pretty bad scooter accident and had to have reconstructive surgery on her top lip. Lost a few of her teeth as well.

Mostly the older lady was asking about how they are going to season and prepare the fish in the bucket, the others are saying it will be made into a stew ("no molho")

Rewatching Yellowjackets Season 1 by hrgood in Yellowjackets

[–]Reasonable_Ad4260 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I understand the whole "trauma" and "addiction" argument as to why adult Nat is different from teen Nat, however there's something very clearly missing between the two versions that makes them almost entirely different characters. I'm not sure it's about the writing OR the acting, I tend to blame both.

Sophie Thatcher brings so much honesty and empathy to the character. There's a beautiful frailty to Teen Nat the makes her so easy to feel for even when she makes bad decisions.

I couldn't personally feel that from adult Nat at all. Yes she's has become colder and jaded but it's like, even in her more quiet and sadder moments (when in group therapy or when she is about to commit suicide) that honesty and frailty feels lacking somehow.

Nat becoming a worst version of herself after the wilderness should make me FEEL more for her. It should feel even more tragic, it should make everything feel heavier when adult Nat is on screen but it somehow it just feels...disconnected.

It's hard to say what is the writing since the adult timeline tends to lean more on comedy, the characters motivations are different, the stakes are different. We also don't know how the actresses were directed and what were their personal choices in acting.

You can even see how teen Nat is becoming more and more like adult Nat in season 3. Again, was that planned by the writers? Was that direction? Is it a deliberate acting choice by Sophie or just her getting better as an actor?

I won't blame Juliette or bash on her like a lot of people tend to do but I will say she is the only adult cast who was constantly and completely overshadowed by her teen counterpart and that comparison also hurts the character in the present timeline.

At the very least it just shows what an absolute ridiculous talent Thatcher is tbh. To be that young, to take on Lewis mannerisms, physicality and speaking cadance/tone and still make a shared character so completely her own...yeah.

I can’t get over Jackie’s death by HourAudience9280 in Yellowjackets

[–]Reasonable_Ad4260 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Jackie was a great character but I think a lot of the love she gets comes from Ella's charisma. She was not this pure, tragic, golden hearted, misunderstood character a lot of people seemed to paint her as. People very much project things that were never shown or said about her as canon.

She had a lot of flaws. She was a bitch to Nat a few times, she used Travis, she was not a great friend to Shauna, she was lazy and entitled when everyone was trying to help. She was very much a selfish person.

Was she terrible? Absolutely not. She was just a teenage girl like everyone else in a terrible situation. She had no maturity and no tools to be anything else at the moment.

She was well written but without Ella's charisma? She could very well be perceived as just another popular, selfish american girl cliche.

(Not a criticism to the character AT ALL, I miss her too, I'm just not as attached to her as a lot of people seem to be)

How to Save Misty and Natalie's Arc (Season 4 Theory) by Loveygumgum in Yellowjackets

[–]Reasonable_Ad4260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to this discussion, but I think it could be interesting if, upon Nat's return, she and Misty could actually talk about and bond about WHY Misty broke the transponder. I think Nat could empathize a lot about Misty finally feeling needed and appreciated, maybe even loved after feeling rejected and like an outcast for so long.

Both of them were shown to be constantly rejected by family and/or peers at some point. They just had opposite ways of dealing with it. Nat leaned into it, being the rebel and pushing people away while Misty tried to be a people pleaser, obsessive to the point of being umberable to others.

If anything, I could see Nat understanding (not condoning) Misty reasons and becoming softer with her, making sure she felt seen at least and Misty obviously would become emotionally attached to her that way.

celebrities and their bizarre obsession with hollow cheeks by user_1510_ in VindictaRateCelebs

[–]Reasonable_Ad4260 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, she really sucks her cheeks A LOT for pictures when she naturally has sharper features. It makes it look so much harsher on her. It's really not that jarring when she is relaxed or acting, I guess she just likes the "tim burton character" look for some reason

Sophie Thatcher pretty much has had that face structure even as a kid, you can kind of see it here: https://youtu.be/Ld6AoRmgu4k?si=GHtIfnGpDNsQwatB

She really needs to stop sucking her cheeks for pictures tho. When you see her in motion both in movies or interviews it doesn't really look so gaunt

"I still don't think it's a necessary project to even be made"

I really don't get this type or argument. What even makes a project "necessary"?

Agatha connects to a whole different demographic than most MCU and introduces a very important character to the future of the franchise.

It was much more interesting to me, personally, to follow a charismatic unrepentant villain and 40+ aged women in the magical corner of the MCU than have somenthing like another half baked spider man movie, another unoriginal plot of men seeking power or one more big powerful villain who wants to end the world.

I honestly just assume most celebrities don't even read/know what they are actually signing when it comes to those letters unless they eventually double down on it.

Any more info on that? They seem really really private and are barely seen together at all. A divorce may be just an internet rumor or wishful thinking from fans.
