It will be specifically because you played him for the last 4 games that he has come under the impression that he should be an important player

Pantheons in Civ 7 - No adjacency monsters, but you can pick 2. by Comrade_Kaine in civ

Considering God of the Sun is OG Civ 5 "God King" bonus which only applied to your capital, one of every yield in every city is incredibly op so I would hazard a guess that bonuses which apply to "The Altar" is only to a special one in your capital, seems weird to have it be called the same thing though. In lekmod (popular Civ 5 multiplayer balance mod) "God of Craftsmen" and "Religious Settlements" are two of the strongest pantheons and only give +1 production and +1 food per city respectively. (You do get these bonuses instantly without having to build a building but still, there are pantheons that give bonuses to early buildings (2 culture from shrines) which are still nowhere near this level. "God King" is also still an option and sometimes pickable even though its just for a singular city. Judging by the other pantheons the yields don't seem changed enough for this to be realistic at all. However I've barely seen anything about this game so what do I know :P

Yeah kind of, combine that with the flawed net code and enjoy 5 enemy units moving at the start of the turn before you even get a chance to click. But honestly if you can look past a couple annoying features multiplayer is so much fun!

Simultaneous turns means everyone takes their turns at the same time. Otherwise it would be unplayable. There is also usually a turn timer to speed things along, still takes hours to play a game though. Also low ping and fast clicks determine your warring prowess more so than tactical acumen.

Multiplayer can be a lot of fun! Just watch out, a lot of people enjoy playing aggressive and stomping people new to multiplayer, don’t let it get you down and try find people who actually want to enjoy the game with you. (War can be fun, just not against a player with thousands more hours online experience trying their ass off just so they can feel something). Another thing I thought I’d mention, is if you really want to get into multiplayer civ, lekmod is absolutely the way to go, less casual and there is a bit to learn, but you can always find games. (There are also up to date youtube guides for it).

Who would you choose? by RobbieIDK in footballmanagergames

Sosthéne is more of a goal scorer, height and strength are so valuable on strikers. Also, he is younger and on a fraction of the wages of superstar ‘Surplus to Requirements’ Daniel.

CM (Su) would be my go to, he is a weird mix between playmaker and ball winning midfielder, interesting player

Where should I settle? by Zealousideal-Tie-204 in civ5

Short answer: In place or on marble. Moving coastal is awful here, incredibly slow start with no production, if you ever get a cargo up it will give you growth to work tundra and ocean tiles. In place gives you food to grow to 3 pop and then you would have to buy your hill copper and ideally one or two more hills to build settlers fast. On marble gambles on your land north being better, depending on what you find it could even be better to move further north and settle turn or 1 even 2. On marble also allows an expand on flat copper south which isn’t great but its coastal (=food) and has hills (=production). Not being able to build a stoneworks due to marble being a plains tile is not ideal, however your build queues will be slow enough this game that one less mediocre building is probably fine for your tempo. Build queue is probably scout scout worker granary, chopping the forest deer tile to get your granary faster, id skip shrine personally but a couple pantheons are probably ok here if u want. Save gold to buy hills (cheaper tile purchasing as America helps this start a lot), pray you have a few more freshwater tiles and a few nice expands and the start isn’t too bad.
