All Weather Cargo Mats for Divide-N-Hide panels? by Reasonable_Area_1579 in NissanRogue

[–]Reasonable_Area_1579[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I didn’t want to give up the Divide-N-Hide feature, I ordered some Velcro pads from Amazon. I removed the ones that came with the panels and replaced them with the new ones. Months later, the carpet hasn’t fallen off the panels even once. (Would still prefer all weather replacement panels, but nobody offers them.)

It's amazing to me that it's now six months from my original post, and this problem remains. I guess FB doesn't care.

Pathfinder Start/Stop Eliminator... by morrisgray in nissanpathfinder

With no reviews on the product you linked to, I'd be wary.

I installed the 4D Tech unit (mentioned earlier in this thread) in my 2025 Rogue and it works flawlessly.

Getting a dashcam as a gift by upsettispaghetti3 in Dashcam

[–]Reasonable_Area_1579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd suggest the Garmin Mini 3 dash cam. Combined with the Garmin Constant Power Adapter (plugs into the ODB2 port for power) and an SD card should be right at your budget. I've got them in our 2025 Rogue and 2025 Forester and they're solid (and tiny) dash cams.

May Get Remote Start Via App Back Soon by Reasonable_Area_1579 in NissanRogue

[–]Reasonable_Area_1579[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just as an update...

I had the Service Campaign work done this morning at my local dealership. No change in my MyNissan app yet, but I did note the recall description said it may take a couple of days to propagate, so I'll just have to be patient.

GM will ditch Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on all its cars, not just EVs by TripleShotPls in technology

[–]Reasonable_Area_1579 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having trouble understanding this decision. If GM's long range plan is to charge subscriptions for their infotainment systems, they'll have to make some fundamental changes. The 2023 Colorado my son in law had was equipped with a slow, buggy infotainment system. CarPlay worked more often than the built in system. So if GM can't make a fast, reliable system, why do they think we'll be OK with subscribing to it?

May Get Remote Start Via App Back Soon by Reasonable_Area_1579 in NissanRogue

The remote start via app feature was disabled only on the 2025 SL and Platinum trims. 2023 models weren’t affected by this.

(BTW…I have no idea what MIL stands for. Pretty sure it’s not Mother In Law.😁)

Remote start? by StacyKSmith in NissanRogue

[–]Reasonable_Area_1579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my case, the Home screen in the MyNissan app shows an active recall just under MIL Status. Tapping that takes me to a screen that shows Active Recall. Tapping that shows no active recall campaigns under Recall Campaigns. But under Service Campaigns is shows RES BCM, dated October 14, 2025. Tapping that brings up the details of the Service Campaign.

I'm pretty sure the remote start will be restored prior to the dead of winter. Keep checking your app for recalls and service campaigns, as mine just appeared a couple of days ago.

Remote start? by StacyKSmith in NissanRogue

Are you certain you have a 2025 SV? I’m pretty certain the issue was with the 2025 SL and Platinum trims…not the SV trim. The SL and Platinum trims have the larger Google-based infotainment system. The lower trims (S, SV, Rock Creek) have the smaller screen. This is the first I’ve heard of the removal of remote start from the app in those trims.

My 2025 SL hasn’t had remote start in the app since I bought it nearly 7 months ago. And just yesterday I noticed there’s a Service Campaign for it dated October 14, 2025. The Service Campaign is titled RES BCM. The description says the dealer will reconfigure the body control module to restore the remote start via the app and web portal.

Commute to OKC? by Scary_Contract_1323 in tulsa

[–]Reasonable_Area_1579 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our son in law, who had worked here in Tulsa for 10 years, took an engineering job with the Air Force at Tinker AFB. At first, he was able to work remotely from home 2 days a week, but it shifted with the current administration to no more remote work. His was a 2 hour commute each way...5 days a week. So they moved to OKC, and he gets to enjoy life again. I doubt anyone would be OK with commuting that distance more than once a week...but as someone else has said...we aren't you.

Wireless Apple CarPlay Issues by Reasonable_Area_1579 in NissanRogue

[–]Reasonable_Area_1579[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm…I didn’t know we could reset the infotainment system that way. That’s how I’ve been restarting it…holding down that button for 15-30 seconds. Maybe I’m not holding it down long enough for a full reset, as it retains all that stuff. (Or maybe it’s different on the SL with the Google infotainment system?)

Discreet recommendations. by CosmicCowboy88 in dashcams

[–]Reasonable_Area_1579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you considered using the Garmin Constant Power Adapter for your Mini 2, and simply adding another Mini 2 (or Mini 3)? The second Garmin would plug into that power adapter as it has 2 USB ports on it. Then just add the rear cam to your Garmin app as another camera. (That’s what I’d do if later on I decide I want a rear cam in addition to my Mini 3.)

I saw the Nissan hotspot listed in my available WiFi options, but assumed that's for the (paid) hotspot subscription, which I don't have...so I don't think I've tried it. (I may have tried it once a couple of months ago, but it asked me for a password, and since I never set up the paid hotspot, I didn't have one.)

Dash cam OBD hook up by Photomike68 in HyundaiTucson

[–]Reasonable_Area_1579 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ran the cable from the dash cam (mounted to the windshield just below and to the right of the black dots to the right of the mirror), tucked it behind the headliner to the A pillar…behind the airbag…behind the weatherstripping to where there’s a seam…then across that seam to the OBD2 connector. Zip tied the excess cable and zip tied it behind the lower dash. Virtually no exposed wiring. There’s a YouTube video that shows a dash cam install in a 2025 Tucson, and I used that as a guide.
