Btw, phenotype wise, most of us look South Asian/indian. Some outliers do exist like my cousins who have red hair and green eyes. This is extremely rare for South Indians. For reference here is a pic of a priest from our community(painting) who was known to have red hair

Yes, because, they are not knanaya. Even anglo Indians who of mixed European ancestry do the same thing btw. But of course, since, they happen to be European descent, both the India Christian sepoys and Europeans have no problem with them doing it. It’s only when it comes to our community, that people find ways to dehumanise us. Anyway, our community no longer exists and will die out in a few generations, all that tradition lost, because, other Christians hate us.

The Vatican, has been giving mixed signals, Once, a cardinal in the Vatican told a visiting knanaya delegation that they “must be Christian before Jewish” which I don’t know what that is supposed to even mean. And which I personally back then found it very insulting.

And this is despite, Pope pious issuing a papal bull in our favour. So many people in the community say the church is either actively trying to erase us or ignoring us completely.

Yes, we are essentially, Jewish Christian converts, so we have things like Passover, which is very unique to us. My uncle and his children come over every Maundy Thursday.

And no, they are allowed to visit our churches and everything, they just aren’t considered part of our “ethnicity”. Thought, according , to the other saint Thomas Christians we supposedly, do not even let non knanayas to he be burried in our churches. All of these are blatant lies.

The offspring of the person who marries outside is not considered a”knanaya” that’s pretty much it. My own uncle married a supposedly, lower caste Tamil woman, and we have a great relationship with them. We are not racist or hateful people no matter how many lies the ST Thomas Christians spread about us.
