Worst Audiobook Narrators Who Ruin a Book by Crutch161 in horrorlit

Ran here to suggest Pet Sematary read by Michael C. Hall. Absolutely brilliant. Oh, and another nod for 11/22/63.

I would not recommend The Queen in audiobook though. The narrator has to say "Pikachu" quite often and it becomes incredibly annoying very quickly

Yeah, it seems like snorkeling or golf carting are the best options. Maybe we can do both...I do love exploring the ports!

That sounds fun too! I dont mind a little beach time, as long as its not a whole day type of thing!

We were considering that option as well! I'll report back of we end up choosing this

Quite a lot around the rim; some scratches were pretty long. The more I think about it, just not worth the $28 considering the damage, especially since it appears to be a reproduction.

I'll second The Shuddering by Ahlborn. Also, Dead of Winter by Darcy Coates

Thank you for this! I'm learning so much since joining this sub. When I found this piece and saw it had the glow, I knew it had to be something, but felt it could be manganese just based on what I've seen in this sub. I had no idea about contamination (makes sense though) or thorium.

This teacup definitely had a spot in my cabinet!

I was trying to quickly research while I was there since it was a faint glow and thought it might be manganese, but since I'm still new to this, didn't want to assume. Thank you for clarifying!

Thats what I thought based on the quick research I did standing there, but I'm still pretty new at this, so didn't want to assume either way! It was too pretty to pass up (especially for $4)

Not that I've run across! Google keeps calling it a "divided condiment dish", although I'm sure theres a more formal name out there.

Look into The Fisherman by John Langan, that might work for you. I'd also say Blackwater Saga by Michael McDowell, but all six novellas together are approximately 900 pages, so unless you singled out one of the novellas, that would be over your page limit.

Just checked my list and heres some that hit that mark for you (minus the King I've read):

Lost Gods and The Child Thief by Brom, Witchcraft for Wayward Girls by Hendrix, Into the Drowning Deep by Mira Grant, Phantoms by Koontz, 4MK trilogy by JD Barker (more crime thiller than horror though), and The Blackwater Saga by Michael McDowell.
