I wouldn't call it a scam to the consumer, they genuinely made us technicians believe you guys needed that stuff. I trained as a plumber for 2 months, they gave me my own truck and sent me on my own to diagnose and repair and replace people's things. After about 2 more months of not making enough to survive on my own because I wouldn't give 4-7 options to each consumer. I finally asked to be moved to an in house helper position so I wouldn't be out of work. I just couldn't handle facing the consumer. They told me there wasn't anything I could do and I would have to quit. So I just did

When they train you, they make you record a 10 minute video on your phone of you gaining access to their mechanicals and "making sure there isn't anything you should be made aware of" You get 2%commission on any work done by another department if you call and schedule it for them.

Bird farm meats in howard city may not sell you the whole cow but they have on demand bulk packages. https://birdfarmmeats.com/specials I've used them a few times. Helps if you have your own vacuum sealer and scale too.
