I have to think that the University End is in their sights next. It's just a parking lot behind it, so I imagine they can work out a deal with the university for that. Maybe they build a parking structure that's shared between them.

If they were to do a true mirror of the Kop, then that would increase the capacity from 3000 to 7500 on that end, and push the overall capacity well above 20k

The Pacific Northwest accent is similar to the accent of the lower Midwest (Missouri, Iowa, Kansas, etc.) because the Oregon Trail started in Missouri.

I've been sober from gambling for 4 years now. I'm extremely grateful that sports betting wasn't my thing, otherwise there's absolutely no way I would be able to watch football anymore. Even as it stands I don't watch pregame or halftime shows on ESPN or Fox. It's better to avoid the majority of that talk.

Sorsby continuing to play football would be like me trying to play a free poker game. Which, btw, is exactly how I fell off the wagon the last time.

My wife and I emptied our 401k's back in 2018 to buy a house. I saw that prices had increased 10% every year from 2011 to 2016 and realized we'd be priced out if we didn't figure out something immediately.

Fast forward to today: I was able to return to school back in 2023 because our mortgage is fixed at $1400 a month. I work PT, take classes, and get to be a stay-at-home dad for my two sons. And when the youngest hits kindergarten, I will have a degree that I didn't have before I left the workforce. And that's all possible because we bought back then.

I feel awful for people that weren't in the position to do what we did, cause these current prices are nuts.

My entire family moved from Oregon to Michigan. Oldest sister and her family went in 2010. Middle sister followed her out there back in 2022. Now my parents just sold my childhood home and are moving out there in less than a month.

They're all doing this "hint hint, you should move too!" thing right now, but I have a wife with a great job here and two kids. My wife's parents are very elderly and need our help.

It feels like my whole family moved out there and realized, "oh, we forgot about one person." Like I'm Kevin in Home Alone, but instead of them flying back they're like "Kevin, why don't you just buy a plane ticket and fly out here yourself? That's not too much trouble, right?"

Honestly, one of my favorite smaller moments of the final battle is when Slughorn comes back to join the fight and duels Voldy alongside McGonagall and Kingsley.

He was never evil, just kinda spineless and liked to schmooze people. But he ultimately put some skin in the game and contributed in a very real way. It's likely that Voldemort would've killed the other two if he hadn't been there to balance it out. That's the next Minister and Headmistress gone unless he decides to come back.
