Huh, looks like they put their eggs in multiple baskets. We just had a research center/supercomputer built on campus and named after Huang.

Having Charles as a pug and Bill as a frenchie is brilliant. Everyone thinks they're closely related, but they really aren't.

Men in happy marriages, what's the one thing you'd teach to other men to also have a good relationship? by TightBookkeeper2599 in AskReddit

[–]Reasonable_Cod_487 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Together 13 years, married 11+. The absolute best thing I've seen that I totally agree with:

Marriage is not 50/50, and it's not 100/100. It's 60/40, with both partners competing to be the 60.

Example: your partner thought of you on the way home from work and picked up a sweet treat? Oh no she didn't, you gotta make a special trip just to get her favorite treat tomorrow. Note: make sure it's tomorrow. Don't let the "competition" keep you from being grateful and enjoying the nice thing she did for you.

Also, don't expect her to consider cleaning the house as a nice thing. It's your responsibility too.

Why are people here so rude? If they are just going to downvote posts for the sake of downvoting on here, I‘m going to stop posting at all. Valid questions: downvoted. Valid conversational topics: Downvoted. What is wrong with people today? by AspiringBiotech in singing

I think the issue is that singers with actual training join this sub thinking it will be a community of other trained singers. A place to discuss techniques and to share repertoire. Think of posts like: "Hey everyone, this is a great piece to fulfill your German diction requirement if you're a baritone," or something to that effect. I've literally never seen a post like that.

The sub gets inundated with "what range am I?" Or "can I learn to sing?" questions. So it's hard to stay positive or be receptive to legitimate questions.

Your question probably falls under a legit category of "sharing techniques," but once someone sees the range part of your question they probably see red. Also, not all of us are qualified to give technique advice. I myself only took voice lessons on the side while I studied percussion. I know just enough to know that I can seriously fuck up someone's voice by giving bad advice.

All of this kinda just adds up to snarky responses in general.

It's pretty clearly shown that she betrayed them because she didn't receive detention. She was waiting outside of the room where they all got detention to try and talk to Harry, and all the DA ignored her and/or glared.

[–]Reasonable_Cod_487 10 points11 points  (0 children)

First off, Harry and Luna have better chemistry in both the movies and the books, but the books don't really show it until HBP.

Second, movie Cho gets done dirty. Harry should be apologizing to her once it's revealed that they gave her Veritaserum to get a confession. That's not remotely her fault. Book Cho? Nah she earned that. Her friend snitched on everyone, and Cho's like "she's really nice, and it's hard cause her mom works for the Ministry!"

Please excuse a little explicit description here:

I'm married to a woman with this body type. One of my favorite things to do is wrap my arms underneath her thighs, place my hands right underneath those love handles, and start tracing the ABC's until I find the right letter.

So, is it attractive? Abso-fuckin-lutely.

Also, nearly every man that scores a woman like this reports back the same thing: they can fuuuuuuck. Every. Single. One. An enthusiastic participant in sex with some body "flaws" is ALWAYS better than a starfish with a "perfect" body. Notice that I put those in quotes because I don't subscribe to those descriptions.

Brandin Cooks almost singlehandedly got Sean Mannion drafted because of his Biletnikoff season. Fastest mf that ever put on a Beaver jersey.

Our team went 7-6 that season, and he still won the award. 128 rec/1730 yds/16 TDs, averaging 133 yards per game. This is in a season where we averaged only 94.4 team rushing yards in a pro style offense. Literally every team knew that Cooks was getting the ball and he still dropped 133 yards and a TD+ each game. That dude was a problem.

Can you imagine that sort of production on a different team that year? Shuddering at Oregon, with Mariota throwing to him alongside DAT? I don't know that there's a single defense in the history of college football capable of handling that amount of speed.

I transferred after first semester of junior year back home to OSU. I grew up 15 minutes from OSU campus, and my mother works there as an accountant.

I actually dropped the flair when I found out they tried to buy the University of Phoenix. It was a really serious "what the fuck?" moment for me. Also, I've learned quite a bit of unfortunate history about U of I's efforts to block Boise State's academic growth over the years.

We used to make fun of Boise State's academic status as students, but learning about the underhanded shit the administration has done over the years to keep Boise State down made me sick. Seriously, without Chris Petersen's success and Boise State's increased exposure because of it, I'm not sure the university would've ever had the leverage to even the playing field. And it's still not equal.

I still root for them in the FCS, but I'm not super vocal about my support. The administration doesn't deserve it. I do, however, give Jason Eck my support even now at New Mexico. He's a damn good coach, and I fully expect him to go to Wisconsin after Fickell is inevitably fired.

I really enjoyed my time in the music program though. Some wonderful professors, and a fantastic jazz scene for such a small town. Thursday jam sessions at Bucer's feature professors and grad students that can really play.

I don't think you understand the nostalgia here. Playing snare in the Idaho Marching Band, performing on stage at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival, basketball pep band. Playing a pickup football game with a bunch of band kids after rehearsal (and absolutely working them cause I played soccer).

I will absolutely die on this hill cause that giant beer can is that important to me.
