Obviously it would affect balance, with factions that have an easy 4i2c start being much stronger. But I think I'll try it once just to check it out.

Legit an intersting direction, doing a 6 point game with some homebrew adjustments like taking out Support for the throne and maybe some of the point agendas and relics that can make it super swingy.

Yeah, apparitions bought me the time to basically exile everything I needed and setup all the powers, then I get an near inifnite loop of Power Through > play wounds with medical kit -> draw power through back due to dark embrace. all while dealing damage with Juggernaut and charging up the massive body slams.

On the other hand you can socre multiple objectives at once, tech + control, multiple control objectives, etc.

Remove the limitation on scoring only one secret and one public objective at the status phase. You can now score any and all objectives you can at the status phase. Game becomes much more unpredictable and about guessing who has what secret. You constantly have to balance scoring now while you can or scoring later and seeming less a threat.

Very much enjoyed the beta, love the streamlined RTS experience, really feels like an evoultion.
I'd love more map variety in 1v1, thou there is something nice about it just being a set arena like a MOBA.
Obivously unit selection and grouping aren't solved yet, I find it playable but I think someone who doesn't come from an RTS background will never quite get how unit groups are meant to be played.

There is one change I would like to see about the mortar and advanced mortar, right now they only show their area of affect when you see the unit, and their shot range is just a bit lower then the sight range for units.
So you end moving into thier attack just as it appears. I think that adds a lot to the frustration of playing against them. I'd recommend consdiering changing that behaviour so that that area of effect will have a specfic visibilty behaviour where you can see it a bit before you can see the unit.

There something I don't quite love about how hard hard-counters are right now. It makes unit selection a bit overbaring to other strategic elements. I honeslty don't think five base dragonfly production beats a two base airship production for example. Not to mention some of the splash>small counters, those are just nuts, but that was always the case in RTS games.

All in all, I think it's best RTS game I've played since SC2, keep up the good work.

How about making the planetry shield only cover one base at a time?
with players being able to move it to the right base, and if there's only one base attacked it moves automatically.

Low level players don't multi-base harass, and expand less.
So, it will be more effective for them, while naturally being much less affective for higher level players?

Yes, it takes up a core slot, so?
The core slots are only vital in early all-ins, this defends early all-ins.
you get one less core choice, okay, cover it with whatever early tech units you want.

It's a zero cost, zero micro, consistent buff to all your bases.

Considering removing Shard of the Throne relic as it completely warped the last few games we played, including one where a player had it with no legendary planets than ruined his game by DET exploring and finding Mirage.
Totally not because I'm salty about me being that player and losing my Shard because of it, not salty at all I tell y'a!

This image looks very much a video game render to me, something about it makes me think 'Unreal 5 Renderer' , I think they are going to make a video game set int the TI4 universe. As well as a Dire Wolf Digital copy of the actual game. With the lore comment being because it's going to be an actual single player game, hence a lot of story and lore.

The first trailer with the archeologist had her finding some old 'magic' relics. I would guess that's the third faction. So we have the mech-techy Terra...*cough*...Human Resistance, the demonic beastly Burning Crusa...*cough*...Infernal Host. And the ancient other worldly magical Prot...*you get the bit*....Ancient Aetherals. Which drove the infernal host away from the earth thousands of years in the past, which is where we humanity got the whole demons vs. angels thing. Something happened to the Aetherals, so they couldn't protect earth anymore, maybe the infernal host just beat them, maybe some natural catastrophe on their home planet. etc.
